Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
My favorite single figure from each film would be:
Muppet Movie: Miss Bogen County Piggy
Great Muppet Caper: Photographer Gonzo
Muppets Take Manhattan: Kermit/Piggy Wedding Set
Muppet Christmas Carol: Kermit Cratchit w/Tiny Tim Robin who can perch ever so nicely on Kermit's...
...every review I've read for these figures has raved about how wonderful these are--and several of the freaks I know that I've shown my figures to have gone out and bought some for themselves--even the people who aren't normally impressed by Muppets, action figures, or both.
These are...
Man, ya miss a day or two, miss a hundred posts or so...and the world changes!
Ken,
WONDERFUL news about the licensing for the flicks and Muppets Tonight...I'm excited to see how this will open up the line. Although I'm a bit bummed about the wait for Janice and completing my Mayhem...
Wonderful idea Cherry--and just because it's been brought up before doesn't mean that it's not a great idea. I'd love to see this--Jim Henson was so much a part of Kermit that when I think of my green friend, I also think of Jim. I don't know what he'd think of this idea, because he was...
things I didn't know:
That Bob Trow built the models--VERY nice. They're the sort of thing that if I had the money, and they were selling say, resin models of them, I'd buy in a heartbeat. Of course, I'd buy miniature Salt Lake City buildings too, but it's probably because of Mr. Rogers'...
I'm not entirely optimistic about this one--it's something I'm definitely going to rent, not buy.
I'm not sure why JHC is doing this...but I'll refrain from more critical comments until I see the real deal.

I freaking LOVE the Super Grover, and the Cookie Monster Checkbook cover is even better than the Big Bird one was....which was already pretty spiffy.

Thanks guys,
Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood is on the long list of Little People to be made--but that Lady Elaine is SO !@#$!@# ugly that it always falls a few more behind other, more attractive ones. I really do need to make them. I love Mr. Rogers. Especially his kitchen, with all the toys up...
Now THAT'S service, Phil!
Very nice.
MAN I hope I get to be a millionaire. Between the DVDs, Muppet figures, and Lego, I could blow it all in a year.
And THAT my friend, is when Melissa and Miles would hit the road.
Jack.

Hey Mupps,
Just wanted to let ya'll know that I just updated my ultra-lame website with MORE Fisher Price Little People--now I'm up to a totale grande of 641.
Included in the update are:
Lord of the Rings
Where the Wild Things Are (NOT E's Wild On...)
E.T.
Winnie the Pooh
Land of...
Anyone know when Monsters INC is coming out on DVD? I'm guessing around Halloween, but anyone know? I'm too lazy to go on a hunt.
I like Kevin Smith's movies, and I do really want to see the toon--but he is definitely an affected, acquired taste. I just read his Green Arrow hardback comic...
Yeah--I would hate to see these characters permanently retired, becoming either sacred cows or martyrs for the cause...I think they should remain part of the Muppet family and they should just find replacement voices/performers for them. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Jim Henson...
Yeah, that's one of several that's being bandied about for the next Muppet Movie project--but I'm betting it'll be a few years before we see anything. First we'll have the new series on FOX and some other projects (like the Christmas TV Movie on NBC) to get the Muppets back into a high-profile...
Were they the plush Animal magnets (just his plush head mounted on a magnet) or was it something different? They had a bunch of those out a few years ago--Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal...
The only Muppet magnets I've got right now are some of the "art" ones from the Kermitage...
By the way, the new He-Man toon debuts this Friday on Cartoon Network with a 90 minute movie....I knew it was coming up, but didn't know it was this week!
Quinnnnn
Even better--Andy, like us, just had a baby (well, technically, it was his wife) and I know for a fact they use a baby monitor....
squawkle....hiss.....pop.....mrmble......click click click
MAN I should go walkie-talkieing over at their house!
Quinnnnnnn
Yeah, I get a lot of e-mails that say they're from "eBay" something or another, but none of them have been legit--be very cautious. Better safe than sorry. Or something like that.
