Cool! You're gonna do the whole 'Cilla beehive thing?
Make-up is fun, too. One year I went trick or treating as a zombie. The stuff I put on my face (when mixed with water) resembled blue, gnarly oatmeal. All I know is, it dried really quick, and I couldn't move my facial muscles at all...
Okay, I think that clip was from the Gilda Radner episode (season 3).
It was a spoof of old movie melodramas, with Piggy as the damsel in distress, Wayne as the hero, and Uncle Deadley as the villain.
From the clip, it looks like they're in costume for that sketch.
Yeah, it's kinda funny seeing the hip, cool Floyd cracking wise about the Pig, and then getting chopped!:D
But I don't recall Uncle Deadley on the receiving end. When did that happen? That would be pretty funny, too!
As do I!
Halloween is my favorite time of year. Alas, I'm a little too old and too tall (6'1) to be a convincing trick-or-treater.
But there are always Halloween and/or costume parties!
One of my best was as the skinny, 1950s Elvis. I combed my hair up into a pompadour and wore...
Yet another Saturday morning favorite...
Hey Vern, It's Ernest!
Thanks to the success of his TV commercials for various products (including Sprite) and his hit movie, Ernest Goes to Camp, Jim Varney's loveable, lunkheaded handyman Ernest P. Worrell had his own live action series for a while...
(bowing)
Oh, thank you, thank you! You're too kind!:zany:
Seriously...
Yes, it would most definitely be cool to have D.C. Follies on DVD. I was a faithful viewer. It was one of those shows that you needed to watch more than once, because there was also something crazy going on in the...
Oh yeah, I used to watch all these, too! My family had the Disney Channel when it first came out, so I watched Pooh Corner, Dumbo's Circus, and a lot of the old-school Disney movies and TV shows that you can only get on DVD these days...
I purposely left shows not made in the 80s off my list...
Now that I think about it, VH1 makes a habit out of airing their I Love the...shows quite frequently. Sometimes they devote entire weekends to 'em. Chances are I'll find the holiday special sooner or later.
Do they have a Christmas flavor? I know Coke, Sprite and Pepsi put out bottles with special holiday labels, but the taste is the same. I don't know about Sierra Mist.
But yeah, I think it is Mountain Dew that puts out special "summer only" flavored soft drinks.
I'm sure it will get me into the holiday spirit! I enjoyed all the other I Love...shows, why not this one?
Maybe VH1 will repeat it this holiday season. Or perhaps they'll make a new one.
How could I forget to leave this one off my TV list?
Small Wonder
Remember this show? It was a syndicated series that ran between 1985 and 1989, and was about an engineer at a robotics company who creates Vicki, a robot that resembles a 10-year-old girl, as a companion for his lonely son...
