I actually noticed that, too. When they released songs on albums, sometimes they took the original version from the show, and sometimes they re-recorded it. But the album "Signs" was not the original release of "Exit", believe it or not. I think before that, it was released on a 45 along with...
I actually did see that. And I think that's the only time it ever aired. They did that so that it would be more up to date. Because in the old version, they used a typewriter, and some old-style computer effects.
See, there aren't really any actual episodes. It's all computer-generated. Like it varies and varies and varies. So there isn't really any way to tell.
What do people do all day?
People work and people play
Everyone in their own way
Helps make the world go round
Oh
Busy people the whole day through
All have got a job to do
Doing things for me and you
That's what people do
Carpenters use hammers and saws
Build our houses, install...
Okay, I take it you don't have cable, DrTooth. Correct?
Anyway, 11 is out of New Hampshire, and 36 is out of Rhode Island, and it's a tiny little station with a tiny little signal. See, I get those on cable.
It was kind of silly, but if there's one live-action film from Sesame Street that someone remembers, even if they're not a fan of the show, this is the one! Also, I thought that girl had a lovely singing voice. I wish I could find out who that was. But somehow, it reminds me of Christina...
Hey!! I noticed that, too! But yes, it is a pledge month, and that's why they're doing it, but I was wondering the same thing! But yes, it is just here. I know, because it's only WGBH Channel 2 that's airing these shows. WSBE 36 in Providence is airing the regular nationwide shows, as is WENH...
Actually, no. They actually have new programming now. But a lot of it does NOT belong in "The N" in my opinion. I mean, look at Real Access! It's like a spin-off show on Access Hollywood about celebrities?? Come on, I don't think that's very educational. Do you?
But unfortunately, they don't...
You can contact Meeri Park Cunniff, the Director of Programming for Noggin. Their number is (212) 654-7077. I think that's the number, but I'm not sure. But then again, she isn't all that nice. I called her awhile back to ask why they were taking off all the old shows, such as Sesame Street...
Actually, in 1991, there was a pledge special called "Big Bird's Birthday Celebration" or "Let Me Eat Cake," and he was celebrating his 6th birthday. I bet that's when they decided to make him turn 6.
You know, it's possible that the small library changed into the fixit shop during the 1971-72 season (Season 3). I have evidence, because in the Rainstorm episode, show 355, there was a street scene where Rafael was trying to fix David's radio.
1. I believe Phillip is correct.
2. I never actually heard this, it just seems that way, since they keep decreasing the airing of it. That's exactly what they did with SSU.
3. Su-Per Grover is not in charge of programming.
You have been waiting 20 years, but you no longer have to! Many of us have it on tape, because it was on "Sesame Street Unpaved", which was a series of old episodes that Noggin ran at one time, but they don't show it anymore. So, you've come to the right place!
