Actually, this is very interesting. The couple of Cookie and Prairie have been around since the early 90s. I know it's newer, but I actually think skits with the 2 of them are pretty funny.
I don't think that bit on 4082 was supposed to be like Monster Clubhouse.
Monster Clubhouse bombed. That is, it didn't test well. I think this is because it was too fast-paced, and kids couldn't remember the names of the characters. Heck, I don't even remember who was who! I think it may have...
Actually, if there were a special channel to air Sesame Street, The Electric Company, and all those old CTW shows, I think that CTW should have its own channel, as I have mentioned before. They would have Sesame Street from all seasons up until Season 30, The Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact...
Believe it or not, The Count made a cameo appearance in the street scene of episode 4081, the one that aired this past Friday. And there were a few new "number of the day" segments with The Count this season. So, he is still around.
Well, I can't believe Season 35 went by so fast! Back in the old days, it used to last the entire year, and now, it's over in just a little over a month! But all in all, I do think that it was MUCH better than Seasons 33 and 34.
And for teenintosesame, I don't know why WGBH never aired that...
I'm telling you, they don't like Sesame Street! I bet you $100 that next year, Sesame Too will be gone as well, and that Noggin will have no Sesame Workshop programming at all.
Actually, I noticed the same thing! Chris's voice WAS edited out this time, but it wasn't before. And I also noticed the newly added cartoon letters on the screen. And while singing, I understand that they did record Chris's voice, but they cut it out, because the executive producer at the time...
Mark the Shark, I LOVED that skit you did. And DonMusic, I loved yours, too. In fact, it was wonderful. And this is the perfect time for it, because it was this time of year that it went off the air last year. I actually did do one earlier, and it was about Hilary Duff taking over Sesame Street...
I actually saw that episode this morning, and during Elmo's World, they redid that old song "Bells", which I knew about for quite awhile. But they didn't do the whole song, and, as usual, it wasn't nearly as good as the original. :smirk:
Noggin didn't destory the copies, they're just not showing them anymore, because they don't have the rights to show them. I'm sure they still have them in their library.
