RE: Our most recent TRU experience
One thing that Phillip forgot to mention was that while we were standing there checking out the Muppet figures scene in TRU, a young man beside us was commenting to his girlfriend just how "...cool these new Muppet figures were". He acted as if he had seen...
Terry, that weasel looks great! Those long legs offer up so much hilarious possibilities. Too bad he's not good at pole vaulting, that looked like it might have hurt a bit.
I also have to mention just how fond I was of the goose as well. Sorry I hadn't commented on him sooner. Got busy with...
Ok, I just had to share this funny moment with you people. I must not have woken up yet, because when I first read that just now, I thought Ken said he was going to show the Vatican Fozzie on the Daily Bit. My first reaction was, where did I miss the discussion for that?! LOL!
I'm going back...
I found this auction on ebay and was curious about how Kermit ended up on the front of a New York fire truck. Patrick, the seller was extremely kind and helpful. Here's a bit of what he said about the truck:
Very interesting indeed! Kermit is in fact painted onto the front of this replica...
Sorry to step in a moment... Uncleduke, DW didn't mean that the way you thought. I believe he was just quoting a line from Great Muppet Caper when it is said that they will catch the crooks red-handed and Beauregard says, "What color are their hands now?" Again, sorry if I'm out of line, just...
Oh sure, if I could only be so lucky as to actually find myself in the Henson studios AND they have Junior Mints for me to "accidentally borrow"!
By the way, CEO sounds great! Uhm... just what does 'Chief Eater of Oreos' have to do with getting Zack a part in this movie, anyway?
My dear Kermie, of course 57% of those people who voted have absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Everybody knows that we ARE in fact married. How do I know? Well... just ask me! ;)
July is indeed a busy month! Special Happy Birthday wishes to Bragi, wolvoks, and muppetfan1701! We should just get a big cake and let it hold us over until the weekend. :D
And of course it is also Dave Goelz's birthday. Sir Didymus already started another thread for him so you may post well...
Zack, can you pass for a 10-12 year old boy? ;) For some reason I immediately thought of you for this role. I'm not sure why... maybe it was the "... a self- possessed, bright, individualistic boy who runs a dog-walking service." Maybe they would let you wear your Rowlf hat during the movie.:D
I LOVE it!!!! That was hilarious. And your family is so cute, I couldn't decide which picture I liked the best. But Floyd with his arm around your youngest was a nice touch. Very clever!
By the way, do any of those people have names?
Kevin, either I'm confused or something... You said:
The Muppet cars were there. They did race. The only thing missing I guess was the actual Muppets. And I'm not sure that they were supposed to be there. From your original post I gathered that the actual Muppets weren't allowed into...
