I saw the second Scooby movie (once, in the theater) and I don't remember the Taz appearance. Maybe it happened when I went to the restroom.
I wonder if they could get away with a narrative structured like one of the old compilation movies. Not actually a compilation movie, but a plot with...
It had some stuff I liked and some stuff I didn't. It very well could have been titled "Bugs and Daffy: Back in Action". Many of the other characters aren't used as much, instead having cameos or their own scenes (yeah, I'd have rather it been like Space Jam, with the characters as a group)...
Part of me hopes that this will be a movie version of The Looney Tunes Show, even though it'd be better as an extended classic short. I hope it's better than Back in Action at least.
I wonder if it'd be bad if they made this into another compilation movie like the various '80s Looney Tunes...
The current day is kind of cool. I think this has been the first new "day" in a long time. It was cool to see it open with raising curtains and a plain white (not sure if it was real or made from computer) background.
I'm okay with Kermit embracing his relationship with Miss Piggy. It's mainly the line/way he's said it. I usually feel that way whenever I hear a basic "you'll always be number 1 to me"-type line regardless of who it is.
Is it just me or did they completely skip the "best tv moment ever"...
Glad that Miss Piggy was #5 and Kermit was #1 (too bad neither Sesame Street character won). Great Kermit interview, though Kermit's "you'll always be number 1 to me" line to Piggy sounded a bit too sappy. Is this the first time Kermit's excuse for not marrying Piggy has been because of...
The marathon I am referring to was a one-night marathon on Nick at Nite during spring break of 1998. I finally got to see all the first episodes (of shows that were on the channel at the time) I hadn't seen. A few weeks later this was followed by an entire week-long marathon of last episodes...
I know. These days it seems many of Frank, Richard, and Jerry's characters have been taken over almost exclusively by one performer each, in contrasts to the early days of recasting when they'd assign the characters to different performers, I guess based on how well they could perform/voice...
This was unexpected. But good to know that all of the main Fraggles have been rebuilt. I recall back in 2001 somebody said that Henson wouldn't rebuild the Fraggles again unless they were going to be used on a regular basis (well Red kind of has been used on a regular basis).
This is so much...
Top ten best Nick at Nite marathons (though keep in mind I rarely recorded Nick at Nite programming during their marathons, and I have only been able to find a handful of marathon bumpers on YouTube, so most of these marathons I haven't seen since the weeks they were on, though Nick at Nite did...
Anybody remember the "When the School Bus Turns" insertials? They were parodies of soap operas, with unresolved "cliffhangers" (I assume they were intentionally uunresolved, unless I just didn't see the episodes that concluded each one). I never watched any soap operas (excluding the soap opera...
Wow! Grover's getting a new song? I don't think he's had his own song in years (not counting what he sings in the Spider-Monster sketch). I wonder if it'll be Frank or Eric performing him in that.
I already did the top ten retro commercials, but how about the top ten best Nick at Nite and/or TV Land promos?
10. "Bad TV! Bad TV! Bad TV!" (in regards to not getting TV Land)
9. The Dick van Dyke Show theme with lyrics
8. "Times change. Great tv doesn't": Uncle Bill from Family Affair...
I used to think the line was "Ewww! Old people!" I think my friends (well, my classmates) even quoted it that way. But then I found the clip on YouTube, and the girl just says "Old people", in a disgusted manner.
Though I found this tribute to that commercial which uses the "Ewww! Old people"...
Top ten retro commercials:
10. M&Ms - Christmas "he does exist!"
9. Taco Bell - "Here lizard lizard lizard!"
8. Pepsi - Alien re-enacts Star Wars Episode I with special cans
7. M&Ms - puppets promote a million-dollar contest
6. Nintendo 64 - "Jingle bells, Santa smells..."
5. Dr. Mario -...
I don't think you quite understand what I was wondering. I wasn't wondering if they'll drop the "Kermit the Frog is a trademark of Muppets Studio" credit, I was wondering if it'll now refer to Kermit as a trademark of the Walt Disney Company instead, since Disney seems to be embracing its...
It's interesting that some reports say that old Elmo's World will continue in reruns. Does this mean Elmo's World will alternate with Elmo the Musical! or that they'll continue to air reruns from past seasons that are NOT just renumbered (if that's the case then DUH!).
Huh, that one Cookie...
You know, since The Muppets came out last year, it seems Disney had stopped using the Muppets Studio subsidary. Considering this'll be the first Sesame Street release with Kermit material since then, it'll be interesting to see if the copyright credits refer to Kermit as being a trademark of The...
I considered doing a Tex Avery list, but I've had trouble thinking up 10 WB shorts he directed that I really like. Then I considered making it a WB/MGM combo, but even then I can't think of enough. I'm not as big on MGM as I am on WB or Disney, and the only Avery-directed MGM shorts I could...
