    The Official October/Halloween/Fall Thread

I can't remember what it was made of (I think cardboard). But I still struggled with bending my legs.

    The Official October/Halloween/Fall Thread

I liked halloween a lot better when I was a kid, but haven't enjoyed the holiday much in the past decade... But in the last few weeks I've actually been in the holiday spirit. I feel in the mood to see some old horror movies that I haven't seen, and there are a lot I haven't seen (I have not...

You know, I feel I should have listed Metal-Munching Mice instead of Box Top Robbery.

    The Official Top 10 Anything...

Well, I sort of agree and sort of don't (how can my opinion be both???). It is one of her best, though when I posted my top 10 '80s songs I didn't list it (and sort of regret it) but did list "Crazy for You" (I feel that song really speaks to me) and "Material Girl". I also really like "Like a...

Let's see if I can do this... Here's a series of top ten movie lists, divided by comedy (or primarily humorous) and family films (the two kind I tend to enjoy most), arranged by decades and so on. Top ten best movies made before 1970: 10. Buck Privates 9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 8...

Pre-Order Sesame Street Old School Volume 3 (1979-1984) coming to DVD 11/6

I had no idea the school episode was the start of a five-parter. It is interesting that Noggin didn't seem to think it was important enough to include the entire week. Alphabet Chat doesn't appear in any of those episodes (unless Noggin cut it out), but I believe the segment was around during...

Pre-Order Sesame Street Old School Volume 3 (1979-1984) coming to DVD 11/6

Episode 666 on volume 2 has the E segment, and when looking at the Muppet Wiki pages for the episodes on volume 3 I saw that the D segment is in one of the episodes (can't remember which one).

Pre-Order Sesame Street Old School Volume 3 (1979-1984) coming to DVD 11/6

The features list did mention "extra clips", as well as mentioning inclusion of the "Goodbye, Mr. Hooper" clip. When the first two were announced the press releases mentioned a number of bonus clips included (even if the first one ended up having more than was announced). I would have liked...

Pre-Order Sesame Street Old School Volume 3 (1979-1984) coming to DVD 11/6

Wow, that's a great cover image. I wasn't expecting them to include a few still images on this cover, but it's still good. Glad to see Kermit on the cover, and I guess this confirms that the clip with the adults explaining Mr. Hooper's death to Big Bird will be included. The only change I would...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 43

I overslept and missed the street story. The Amazing Voice segment was very funny. It feels very similar to the American I segment. It's weird that they already repeated an Elmo the Musical segment during its first week. I know there's only ten so far, but they should at least show five...

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

Something I hadn't realised before, but after looking at some of the contents from Muppet Wiki, it looks like Making Friends will be the first video release of ANY version of Somebody Come and Play. Interesting how no versions of this song have been included on any past video releases.

How To Create a New Muppet Fan?!!!

I liked that scene a lot better as a kid than I do as an adult. But as an adult I enjoy "The First Time It Happens" and the water ballet a lot more than I did as a kid.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 43

This was a great episode. I really liked how Elmo went from being a bad loser to being a bad winner, and saw it coming before it happened. The Flying Fairy School segment was great, with Super-Fairy being so egotistical (almost like a female Darkwing Duck). The Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 43

Oops, I checked Muppet Wiki and it's actually episode 4301. Don't know why I thought it was 4334, but I thought I'd "known" that for a few weeks. But it is cool that the 43rd season is one digit off from starting the 4300 episode numbers.
