another idea for Link would be in the leather jacket and cap from the Macho Macho Man song--that'd be pretty sweet.
I love Link--he's another of the "retired" characters I miss. God's gift to women everywhere, and he knows it!
I think it's more likely that we'd get him in his Patrol Bear...
Wow--THAT'S a blast from the past--I remember I had this shirt and wore it out--with most of my other Muppet Parody Shirts. The one I miss the most was the Froggy Hilfiger one...and the Kermit Clein.
But I'm a Large.

Yeah, parts of it were a little too....Japanese Martial Artsy, but on the whole, I was impressed and I wanna see more!
"I HAVE THE POWER!!!!"
Cringer didn't talk...that's okay. No one needs another Snarf.

Muppets Celebrate 30 years--has all of the truly great moments, and it doesn't make me cry. Okay, actually it usually does, but just because it's so good, not because anyone has passed away.

The ones off the top of my head, in roughly chronological order:
Original Star Wars
Dukes of Hazzard
Adventure People
LEGO
Super Powers
Muppet PVCs
Muppet Show Fisher Price Stick Puppets
Sesame Street PVCs
New Star Wars
Fisher Price Little People (641 and counting...)
JLA
X-Files...
I was wondering about that Luke--if they'll do it that way, or have the bus set up so from the outside it looks like they're sitting down, but inside they'd be standing up...not sure how it would work either way, quite honestly.
But it's probably WAY too soon to even broach that subject with...
Technically, Jamie, although Manhattan is a big chunk of New York City, most people refer to New York City or New York, not Manhattan per se....and evidently those people aren't spellers.
Luke, I didn't realize we were jumping on you--it's just a general pet peeve. I'm glad I'm not on a...
*clapping distractedly while simultaneously trying to decide if I should try to TASTE the muffin crumbs on the awards dinner table*
I DO hope this is the sort of awards show where dinner is served...

Another one that always scared me was with the scary salesman who would try to sell Ernie stuff...
"PSST! Hey Bud!"
"Who, me?"
"Riiiiiight...."
In fact, he STILL scares me a bit!
Harvey Kneeslapper was a bit unnerving too....
Quinnnnnn
I like the ones where he eats cookies!
Some of my favorite moments/songs/sketches/whatever:
Nearly all of the Monsterpiece Theatre Sketches--a "recent" favorite was "1 Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"
"C is for Cookie"
"If I Knew You Were Coming..."
"Casey McPhee"--always used to scare...
Wow. I just realized again how much I love my furry blue pal Grover.
Some of my favorites:
EVERY SuperGrover sketch--those always seemed to work for me as a kid and now as an "adult."
Grover vs. Fat Blue--whether as a waiter, a taxi driver, a telegram delivererererer...these two were...
There was definitely a change in the air--and you could see it a year or two earlier with "The Jim Henson Hour" as well...it must have been difficult for Jim, who had seen SUCH success over the previous 2-3 decades, to have a show cancelled after one year on NBC, and the commercial failures of...
Jamie,
Chinese lantern idea is great for the balloon--I'd love that!
And just so you're aware, there are others of us gritting our teeth every time we see "Manhatten" too....
Gah.

Simon,
I'd LOVE a Muppet Babies nursery set, and a Palisades version of Sesame Street would be AWESOME! I'd take it just from Big Bird's Nest down to the Fix-It Shop, and include the courtyard with tire swing and everything...man, that one'd be sweet! Sweet and pricey!

So did any of you catch this last night? I just finished it, and I must say, I was IMPRESSED. The writing, the set-up of both He-Man's and Skeletor's origins, the animation....and they crammed every one of my favorite characters in there. Very, very nice. Made me want to go buy the toys...
