Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I'm 29, male, and live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've got a wife, Melissa, and a baby boy, Miles, and my favorite Muppet is Kermit, followed closely by Gonzo.
I'm neither West Coast nor East Coast. I prefer the West Coast if it came down to a battle, but I enjoy visiting the East Coast. But...
Ken, Link is looking GOOD! So good that I think I'll have some sausage links for breakfast just to commemorate him and his chin-butt-thing.

CraigD, So GLAD that someone finally mentioned my favorite group of all time: U2!!!!!!
My wife and I are U2 obsessed to the point of idiocy. But we have good taste. We've seen them in concert three times, and it's been amazing every time. Love those guys.
Other than that, these are...
Here are my ten, just for good times sake:
Justice League (either Silver Age, Giffen, or Modern)
Batman
Birds of Prey
Nightwing
Titans (Wolfman/Perez)
Aquaman (Peter David)
Green Arrow (Kevin Smith)
Battle of the Planets
Anything from Alex Ross
...and then the occasional Green...
Just for the record,
I really like Batman Returns. I know it's not the best film (I don't agree with all of your arguments FOR it, Gymkata), but that Catwoman is the yummiest yum in yum yum town.
Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite Indy flick, and here are my top ten (lifted from...
I'm picturing Robin turning into a sort of "Scott Evil" (from Austin Powers) character...very rebellious, mouthy, but ultimately lovable. Never mind, maybe I'm just thinking of Rizzo. But...greener!
I would hope that if they gave Robin an actual role (something he really hasn't had since...
Honestly, because there hasn't been a deluge of Muppet collectibles TO collect, I've never really run into the problem of reining myself in. I've got quite a bit of stuff. My favorites are things from The Muppet Show and Sesame Street, because that's the stuff I grew up on...I do have a few...
Hey FozzieBear, in regards to the Electric Mayhem bus, last I heard, Palisades IS making this one--it will be with Series 5, and will come with Janice, next year. So you won't have to wait long to see that particular wish come true!

The New Look of Muppet Central!
Wow--I was just doing a drive-by, and saw the new look for the site....and I love it! I love the "transition" that takes us from the old MC to the new MC, and I can't wait to see all of the new goodies here. My favorite part right now is just seeing which of...
WOW. I'm not even a Disney fan, per se, but these look wonderful. The best thing about them are the pack-ins--totally logical and totally cool--really enhances the figures. Perfect. Well, not as perfect as Palisades' Muppet Show line, but hey, no one's that perfect. they can also get away...
Although I agree that Gonzo and Rizzo make a great team, I miss the Gonzo from the 70s-80s as well...it seems like after his CLOTHES got crazy, HE got less crazy. The mark of the truly bizarre isn't their clothes, but what's going on upstairs. And Gonzo always had a LOT going on up there...
I know....it's hard to tell a four-month old (already!) that "these are Daddy's toys...THESE are your toys!" but usually we have fun and SHARE. Melissa's a good referee.

I came home from work the other day and my Fisher Price Stick Puppet figures were attacking the Palisades figures...it got very ugly...well, the FP Piggy WAS ugly, but that's another story. In the battle, the FP Rowlf ended up bending over at the waist and head-butting poor Beaker, who didn't...
Now I'm hungry for Chinese food...well, AMERICAN CHINESE food...not eels or anything funky. I think I may have to hit the Ho Ho Gourmet.
Ho Ho.

I did the same thing Ernie--because they LOOK like they come off, and the plastic for the glasses is so brittle...
Anyway, I stillhad the piece, and was able to glue it, and now he's fine. I'm not sure about replacement glasses though...

If Columbia would announce the rest of them, I'd probably wait for them to do it--it'd be less than the Time-Life DVDs for me at this point.
But it looks like they're not.
