Yeah, Burton's great. I love his early shorts, Vincent and Frankenweenie. And of course Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice and Ed Wood, which is my favorite Burton film. I can't wait for Sweeney Todd!
Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty of Homer (he's my favorite character, along with Mr. Burns--let's hope Burnsy gets some prime screen time!); can't wait till July 27!
SSLFan, Homer choking Bart never gets old! It was funny in 1987, and it's funny today!:zany:
Why you little...
Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere (maybe in the episode guide?) The writers scrapped it as a feature because they couldn't figure out a way to stretch the premise beyond 30 minutes. But it's a great episode (it was on last week, actually!):)
According to imdb, there is an animated version of The Nutty Professor in the works, and Jerry is listed as one of the voices.
I read he was planning to turn Nutty into a stage musical, but haven't heard anything about it recently.
This is my most anticipated movie of the year! I'm very excited that Matt Groening invited a lot of the older writers back. I hope Conan O'Brien is involved!:D
Yeah, I remember a few Dick Van Dyke Show episodes where Dick did a very convincing impression of Stan Laurel. I read somewhere that Stan even lent him his bowler hat to wear on the series. Dick was also instrumental in getting Stan a special Academy Award for his work in the early 1960s...
Did you happen to see it on video? When Gremlins 2 came out on video, an alternate version of this scene was shot, to make it look as if the gremlins had tampered with the cassette.
The Hulk Hogan version was shown in theaters and on cable.
A lot of John and George's songs were nasty and/or cynical:
You Can't Do That
Run For Your Life
Don't Bother Me
Think For Yourself
Mean Mr. Mustard
It's no wonder in the Beatles parody The Rutles, the Lennon character is called Ron Nasty.
