Hmm, I will have to see what those 'strong-pig' costumes on Muppets Tonight look like! Sounds promising! :D
Here's a link to the Muppet portion of "I Love Liberty":
and here's a link to an episode of the Jim Henson hour where Link has a decent amount of screentime: Part 1:
Part 2:
Yes, the 3 Muskateers and I Love Liberty are definitely on the "to do" list, as is his incredibly gorgeous matador costume from the "Your Cheatin' Heart" musical number! Also still have "Stayin' Alive" and the viking costumes to do, and I want to do his hilarious pink/teal workout sweat set...
First off, let me say that I am SO HAPPY that Disney is so excited to produce another Muppet film, and I am not in the least bit concerned about anything - it's just WAY too early for people to be negative! I am simply and utterly delighted that we're even having this conversation!!!
(1) What...
Thanks! Yes, I've seen that special on Youtube, and Link is hilaaarious in the Three Musketeers (and as the gong boy, hehehe...) I want to draw his Musketeer costume, but the quality is pretty bad on the Youtube footage, so I've been putting it off, heh... will just take some creative license...
Bumping this super old thread to say that honestly, it would be an honor to meet any of them! Living, I would especially love to chat with Steve Whitmire, Jerry Nelson and Louise Gold.... but of course it would be wonderful to go back in time to meet Richard Hunt and Jim Henson himself. I...
I was inspired and so took the liberty of doing a quick little illustration of the moment when Scooter pops in and spills the beans about the pigs not being credited... it was fun, though I couldn't quite capture how I really picture poor Link sobbing. It's tough to make a pouty lower lip on...
On the DVD blooper reel from the latest movie, I just about wet my pants at the part where Jason Segel admonishes 80's Robot to keep his "eyes on the road!!!" and 80's Robot replies "Chill, fools!" Something about that just cracks me up so hard. I love 80's Robot!
Even though I don't have a BluRay player, I bought the DVD/BluRay pack so that whenever the magical day comes when I can afford to upgrade to BluRay (or just manage to find a friend with BluRay and a HD TV to let me watch it at their house, whichever comes first) I will be prepared!! Very first...
I recall seeing a scene in one of the trailers where Link was wearing yellow rubber gloves and polishing a mirror (of course) in the dressing room, which I assume was part of the "cleaning up the theater" montage. I wonder how much more footage like that they left off the DVD, little bits and...
Forgive me if this has already been mentioned elsewhere, or if this is the wrong thread to post this in!!
It would be the COOLEST THING EVER if they went back and scripted and filmed the entire Muppet Telethon. There were so many things hinted at that we didn't get to see in the movie... it...
Hey, thanks for writing this. I assume that all your observations about who was and wasn't credited are accurate? (such as Rizzo and Pepe and Moopet Roowlf?? getting mentioned when they hardly did anything? I haven't watched the credits that closely) If so, that's even more infuriating and...
I second Borples: Yay for the internet! I would NEVER take a Disney cruise, both because I have no money and also because I don't like boats, heh.... but it's fun to be able to see some of this game (though it seems like you would need to play it MANY times to see all the available footage...
Hey folks, here's series 5 of Link & Piggy's porcine fashion-fest! This features some more outfits from "The Muppet Show" and also from 2011's "The Muppets"!
I know, I get paranoid, too! I'm so sorry that my being clueless caused you concern!
I'd be down for another trade in the near future, too, though I suspect you're going to get sick of drawing Link for me! I have a few commissions I should work on some more first, but maybe in a couple weeks...
Yes, I'm glad I finally found it, too, because not only would I still be missing out on this awesome art, but then you would think I'm a jerk for totally ignoring you!! But now I've got this thread watched so it shouldn't be a problem again if/when we decide to do another trade in the future!
Exactly. Expecting someone to replicate a voice perfectly is kind of an unreasonable request, in my opinion - you can't change the vocal chords you were born with! But, getting down the characterization is much more do-able (and more important to me anyway) and the more chances the performers...
One thing I love about Link is how much of a male fashion plate he's always been. I want to take a moment here to share my utter delight about how Link gets FIVE costume changes in The Muppets: his stylin' blue suit (with his trademark ascot!), a re-vamped Swinetrek uniform, adorable barbershop...
