I actually somewhat like them using live-action films. Because some of the ones that were used this season have not been used in years. (Some of them hadn't even been used since Elmo's World debuted!) But I do agree that we didn't see as much of the older characters this season.
But anyway...
I never said that they should get rid of Elmo altogether. And they wouldn't get rid of Elmo's World either. They just wouldn't have it in EVERY show. It was something they were going to work towards, and apparently, it was a failure. However, I wonder if this means that they will either take the...
Okay, as some of you may already know, there were two episodes this season (Season 38) that did NOT have Elmo's World. And I'm sure a lot of you were very excited, including myself. But apparently, it didn't go over. Those shows were tested with preschoolers, and when they watched it, they were...
Yes, that's right. Britney Spears. She's doing this to try to be a wholesome lady. She will be performing a clean version of her hit song "Toxic" with Oscar the Grouch. Here's the link...
Play With Me Sesame on Sprout
As some of you may know, Sprout has picked up Play With Me Sesame, which was previously seen on Noggin. However, it seems that the Sprout version is slightly different than the Noggin version. All of the original material seems to be the same, but some of the...
They've actually done that quite a few times this season. I think they feel that music is sort of appropriate when it's Abby, since it's gentle-sounding.
Yes. It was originally from an episode in Season 22, show #2796, where Telly wanted to do everything that Bob was doing. And one of those things was that he wanted to teach chorus with Bob. Bob explained to him that he thinks he better teach chorus alone, but he could use another singer, and...
My goodness! This is like one of the stupidest, most upsetting things I have EVER heard! I was all excited that they were showing old episodes of Sesame Street! That guy who posted it made it seem so realistic! I mean, why in the world would anyone do something like that? And another thing! I so...
I heard from someone that the UK version of the Disney Channel recently started showing episodes of Sesame Street from the early 90s. However, I'm not sure this is true. Someone actually DID post a clip of it on YouTube. It's the opening theme of an episode from 1993, and it has the Disney UK...
I don't know if you noticed, but so far this season, they have only used ONE sketch with Jim Henson's Ernie, and that was the song "Imagine That" from Season 17. I think it was in show 4141. And also, it's the only thing they've used this season from before Season 20 (1988).
You know, I think I know of one of the reasons why so many people have been complaining about them not showing enough classic clips. You see, about 10 years ago, they showed a LOT of clips from the 80s, and sometimes even the 70s. Now, they just don't like to use things that seem outdated...
I've seen this Kermit News Sketch on Plaza Sesamo that I haven't seen anywhere else. It takes place in a school classroom with a bunch of monsters, and the teacher is playing the piano and singing this country-style song. I wish I knew what it was about, but I've only ever seen it in Spanish, so...
I just got an e-mail reply today, stating what the new schedule for SS will be like. Here's what it said:
Dear PBS KIDS Sprout Viewer,
Thank you for contacting us about Sesame Street. We enjoy hearing from our viewers, and we're so glad you're watching and interacting with PBS KIDS Sprout...
You won't believe what I just found. The entire channel is being revamped on Sept. 26th, when the channel turns 2 years old. I don't know how much SS it will still have. Here's an article about it:
