Oooh, that's a good way to look at it. I mean, if I tried to bring this topic up to Melissa (a Muppet fan in her own right)(and quite nice)(and patient) she would give me one of these:
Followed by: :smirk:
And eventually, if I persist:
And then if I do this: :halo:
Maybe...
I agree with something someone said about getting a cast of Whitmire's hand to put inside the Poser Kermit's head...giving it more of the shape of the puppet instead of an overstuffed sofa.
Or just cut of Steve's hand complet--oh wait, that was the BAD idea.
:halo:
I was actually just thinking of that today, wondering if Miss Piggy had ever sung a traditional "bump and grind" stripper kinda song. I think that's probably the closest one. Don't ask me why I was thinking about that. We know I have problems.
And I hope people don't think I'm...
...I've been watching for them too--and Elmo and Zoe are both added to the US assortment, right? That was the last I heard on it.
Now if they'd just do some additional Muppet characters...
:halo:
I saw them at Media Play today too--And I like them a lot.
I *AM* bugged that they went through all the trouble of making Zoot, Janice, Floyd, and Dr. Teeth, but didn't include ANIMAL. The most marketed of EM members, and they didn't just toss him in? AARRGH!!!
Because of that little...
Nice. My wife LOVES doing puzzles. I HATE them. Maybe this will bring us back together.
My son likes eating the pieces. He'll go to bed. Permanently.
Sounds good--I was just looking at some of those big puzzles at Gamekeeper or someplace, and they were all over 20.00, so if this comes...
Okay.
I love Steve's Kermit. Except for one little small nitpicky single solitary thing.
He has a problem keeping his (Steve's) arm out of the frame.
For example, I was watching two episodes of Muppets Tonight today (Garth Brooks and Paula Abdul), and I saw Kermit's "sleeve cuff"...
SB's my favorite as well--best backgrounds, most "artistic" but accessible of the Disney flicks--doesn't get mired down in cutesiness or irrelevant characters...and Aurora herself is H-O-T-T HOT. And that Maleficent ain't half bad either. Well, technically, she's completely bad, but she's...
...another place to try is the Gameskeeper store in either Crossroads or on the second level of Gateway--they've got all the other Monopoly games, they've gotta have Muppets. But their price may be higher.
:concern:
Well, I said 1985-1995.
Meaning that the Children's TV Market was enormously different in 1995 than it was in 1985. In 1985 it was pretty much PBS, and only a few shows at that. By 1995, you had Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and many other cable stations all vying for a chunk of that market...
Hey Doc.
Recently I've seen it at the Media Play on Redwood Road and at the Virgin Megastore in the Gateway--I think it was a few dollars less at Media Play, but I'm not sure.
Good Luck!
:D
*low chuckle*
*it sounds like "hmm-hmm-hmm-hmm"*
Can't wait to see these. And even if I only watch the JD/Christmas Together DVD once, it'll be worth it to HAVE seen it. Ya know?
I'd never use "muppet" like that, but I may have actually USED "Eeyorish" before. I know I've BEEN "Eeyorish" before.
Freaky Brits.
i guess it IS their language....
Or was...
Hey, I just saw "Big Bird in China" and "Big Bird in Japan" for the first time on video, and loved both of them--it was great seeing BB getting around all those locations. Some of itwas a little bit dated, but sometimes that's a good thing--like BARKLEY being along for the ride both times...
...unpopular?
I think that opinion is probably that of the majority of the readers of the site!
I think Elmo's ascendancy coincided with a few things, which led him to being the King of the Mountain.
1) He's a good character to begin with. He's undeniably cute and loveable, and I love...
There's still some of that, but so often these days you only see one human at a time. It's ONLY Gina, or ONLY Maria...it's never Maria and Luis or Gordon and Susan anymore...just one human and one or two Muppets. So it's hard to get that "family" feeling across.
I totally see what you're...
...I don't think I have much to add except that I also love Guy Smiley and miss him too.
For a while in high school (I think it was) instead of cursing, I'd say "GUUUUY SMILEY!!!"
But when I talk the top of my head doesn't flap like that.
Maybe I'll start using that curse word again in...
