Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Regarding those two "if it exists" entries: Are they segments fans have talked about but haven't been able to prove the existence of (like, no sources on Muppet Wiki), segments you remember from long ago but can't find anybody who remembers them, or segments you wish existed?
And also, the Japanese Mario 2 only had one new power-up (the poison mushroom, though I'd call that a "power-down") and one new enemy (a newly-colored Parana plant). The other sequels all have plenty of new enemies, while also retaining many enemies from previous games.
Maybe it'd be great if they made special iTunes compilations of various old school supporting characters (though I'd rather have physical releases). It'd be great to see such releases for Harvey Kneeslapper, Biff and Sully, Roosevelt Franklin, Sherlock Hemlock, Two-Headed Monster, and Forgetful...
I've read that Ms. Pac-Man was originally unauthorized but then Namco ended up buying the rights to the game.
It was released as part of Super Mario All-Stars, I assume as an incentive to get people who already had the NES trilogy to buy the release. And it was also included as an...
Well, I just got done doing a full sketch listing of Alphabet Songs at Muppet Wiki. And some sketches I had trouble figuring out how to list them.
I kept thinking it didn't have many of the recurring letter segments, but watching it again, it does have quite a few, some of which get featured...
I'm surprised that, after all these years, there still hasn't been a DVD spotlighting The Count or Oscar. And also surprised there's been no Abby DVD. In fact I've recently realized that there's hardly any videos starring Oscar (just Sing Yourself Sillier at the Movies and maybe Slimey's Worm...
Video game sequels tend to be better than the previous. Most Mario and Sonic sequels are better (though there's a lot of "post-Sega console era" Sonic games I'm not interested in) than the previous. Though my favorite Pac-Man sequels are the ones most like the original (Ms. Pac-Man and...
I'd like to see special releases of the episodes where The Fix-It Shop got refurbished (there are fans that say there was a week of episodes involving the remodeling of the Fix-It Shop) and the episodes where Mr. Handford had to get Hooper's Store rebuilt.
Yeah, that's another odd point. Rizzo is allowed to live like a human, and yet they send him to a testing lab against his will just because he's a rat? I kinda want to say that about the other lab rats as well. With so many animals acting like humans, it's weird to see characters treated the way...
Well, I just got done watching it. I didn't list all of the sketches on the Muppet Wiki page yet, but most of what's not there is forgettable.
This video does have five classic clips, which begin to appear halfway into the video. And all of the classic clips have been included on previous...
Yesterday The Muppet Mindset posted an article I sent on the top five good AND bad things about the film.

Well, I got the Alphabet Songs DVD, and so far, a bunch of forgettable animation and film inserts. Hopefully there'll be a lot of treasures.
EDIT TO ADD: Well, it has the celebrity version of the Alphabet Song, though only the Ray Charles verse... And he actually sings the song twice. Was...
I haven't heard anything about this book. It would be a little cool if for three years in a row (following Imagination Illustrated and Jim Henson: The Biography) we got a new non-fiction Jim Henson book.
For that video game that was suggested, here's some clips I would include for each year (including some that Disney doesn't have the rights to):
1955 - "That Old Black Magic" or "Visual Thinking" (even though The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years gives those clips later dates)
1962-...
It seems like I keep seeing contradictory things about the box office success for GMC and MTM. Like a lot of places say that GMC wasn't as successful as TMM (which is true, but when I see it written like that it comes off as "not successful") though I've never read it referred to as a flop, and...
Well, in July there's going to be a release called Learning Rocks. From the description, it sounds like another release of two full-hour episodes, but I'm not sure.
No bonus features were announced, but this would be a good release to include Rock & Roll! or Count It Higher as bonus videos...
I've read that the last episode had a deleted scene taking place at the funeral and a montage where Ted grieves over his wife's death, which the cast think would have made the ending better. Reading about it, I can't decide whether that would make the ending better or worse.
I wonder if such a game would include every year, or just select years. I don't think Disney owns any Muppet productions from before 1968 (which is when Hey Cinderella was produced). It'd be great if they could clear the rights to one Sam and Friends clip (I don't know if any episodes from 1955...
