Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Good to know that Kermit sold well. I never got the money together to buy one. :( I do hope to soon though I may have to pass on these altogether even though I don't want to. Especially with Gonzo!
I don't know if it's just me, but it seems Statler and Waldorf got rebuilt and it's not pretty. But Sam does make an appearance which i liked. I still say this guy does an amazing Sam. Oh, and Scooter's head was used on a puppet. This show wasn't too bad, but I'm not liking the new puppets...
I think it looks more detailed than Kermit because of the character and the fact that there are some rather good plushes out there, as travis pointed out. This will be the first and probably ONLY good Gonzo item out there made from fabric. This is where the line will get amazing.
Now THIS is what I'm talking about!
Even though the clothes aren't final, can we see them anyway? Perhaps with a stamp over it saying not final?
It looks good. The nose shape looks off, but with all the versions of the nose it'sh ard to really tell. THis is amazing for a first pass though.
Yeah they tried in the 80's to update them, hence the pony tail of Janice that JUST WON'T GO AWAY! They even gave her a pony tail in MTI.
Anyway, if they kept that up maybe it would have worked, but they just seem dated. They're 70's look is more than just clothes. It's the way they...
The problem is they never got updated from the 70's which dates them. They are hippy characters. It's hard to update them for the times, but it has to be done to keep them.
Could we please stick to the topic of Gonzo and not keep posting about getting other licenses and silly what if lists that just list characters? When I see the thread as being new I expect to see some actual news.
Yeah I think these will be the characters to make up the covers. Fozzie's tie for sure and Gonzo's nose, though i guess that will have to be in profile. I'm also guessing Animal's torso or face. They could alternate face and torso shots.
I wish Disney would do their job and pick a cover on...
You are really obsessing over this. I suggest you get a thicker skin. What I said was not NEARLY as bad as what couldh ave been said and it certainly didnt call for you flying off the handle. Let it go.
It takes 62 stiches.
Actualy I have no idea.
All you have to do is not state stuff falsly. I don't think that's too much to ask for. And maybe the next time you state something falsly you won't fly off the handle like you did.
I never did call you an idiot by the way, but after that...
With the Disney Channel running the same show over and over and over again, they really should makle a muppet slot once a week for like an hour. Show any of the many productions. I mean you have 5 season of TMS, 2 seasons of MT, 8 movies (counting AVMMC and MWoO), a bunch of specials, the...
I mean at the same time that Statler and Waldorf were on. I assume that Statler and Waldorf were in a balcony or something and that is why Steve and Dave didn't switch off to do them, which is actually nice for a live show.
One thing I love about the fraggle dvd sets is that they have great extras. According to the review this set comes with another replica book. I love that feature. Plus you can ONLY get it by buying the set, unlike other extras that could be copied and downloaded in some way.
I did more reaerch and found a really cool site that explained just about every way to make a mold.
So you're using sculpey for these? Cause if I know my wax, it's either green or pink and that ian't green or pink.
