By the way, the error message I keep getting says, "The station you are trying to listen to is too fast." I just changed the player to media player but same thing keeps happening when try to click on listening to muppet central radio.
Sorry furryfella, I own absolutely nothing of SS shows. I never had Noggin. Sure wish I had those Unpaved shows. And if classic SS is ever released on DVD or if CTW ever decides to show them on PBS (like that new PBS channel, for instance) I will eagerly be buying/recording them.
Thanks Philip. I'm having trouble getting Muppet Central Radio to work so far. I went through the listening wizard and it says I have live365. But then get an error message when try to actually listen. I'll keep trying through the help tips and hopefully can get this working eventually. :)
Remember this early 70's skit with Simon Soundman? Simon starts by saying, "It's game time." The game might have been for the viewer to try and guess what sound he is making. I just remember he started making a sound like a horse. And then he pranced around the screen like a horse and the music...
Thought of a really short Cookie Monster one from the 70's. About 10 seconds long. He is holding an egg and says, "E. Egg." And then he swallows it whole, shell and all. Then he moans loudly and falls backwards.
Yeah no music at all to end this one. Very rare that that happened. I think in that one where Ernie brings the flashlight, umbrella, and Bert's bowling ball to the bathtub it also ends with no music (just the sound of rain and thunder from the sudden storm). Also, kind of interesting in this...
That's really nice. Make A Wish Foundation is such a nice idea for doing something special for people.
I haven't really met any VERY famous celebrities but some lesser known ones and/or borderline celebrities. Mostly sports figures. Probably the biggest name one I met was Charles Barkley...
There was also a u sketch that had a dog and a letter u. The letter u was mentioning a lot of words that began with the letter u like universe. As he mentioned them the words would be displayed. At the end the letter u asks, "Well, what do you think of that?" The dog replies, "Not very much."...
Yeah conceptually movies based on these old sitcoms are pretty silly. But the name probably sells a lot of tickets. Like I would probably expect an "I Love Lucy" to be pretty lame but yet still likely at least rent it just out of curiosity (That was one of my top 5 favorite sitcoms too)...
I'm so very sorry Vibs. I know exactly what it is like. My parents got a divorce when I was 16 also. It's an enormously tough thing to go through. Lean on God, He is grieving with you right now and loves and cares deeply about you. Pour out your heart to Him (Psalm 62:8) and draw close to your...
I see just about all the critics are saying "The Honeymooners" movie now playing in theaters is awful.(But Roger Ebert does give it 3 out of 4 stars. Bet there's a good chance Richard Roeper will spar with him on this weekend's edition of their program!). That's too bad, since "The Honeymooners"...
:) Me too. Brings to mind a joke I heard once. This guy loved to play golf and he was hoping that there was golf in Heaven so he'd get to play golf for all eternity. He went to a fortune teller and asked her if she could look in the crystal ball and tell him if there is golf in Heaven. She told...
Same here. I don't ever remember anytime on SS that there was a laugh track. Nor with "The Electric Company (1971-1977) either. "Sesame Street" was barely a 60's show, of course (debuting September 1969). But it didn't have the live audiences (at least not so we could hear them) that a lot of...
Yeah Ernest T. Bass was quite a riot. Interesting how the four or five shows he was in "The Andy Griffith Show" often make the top ten list of fan's favorite episodes. I loved ANY show of "The Andy Griffith Show" with Barney Fife, however. Truly one of the best sitcom actors of all time and one...
Yeah too bad it's not the entire original "Little Bit" version by Joe Raposo. Still, it is pretty cool to be able to hear about a minute long of Joe singing it. I always liked "Little Bit". There's some other good ones at this link too, though some of them are newer versions as well. But "C is...
I just read that Kenneth Taylor died today at 88. He is special to me because he was the translator of The Living Bible - Paraphrased (1971). It was the first Bible I ever had (my parents got it for me one Christmas). It was a great help in getting me to both understand the Bible (since it is in...
Hi mike. Good to see you as always. I see from this site that the song is called "Fruit Song" :
http://www.xsao.net/Kids/Sesame_Street/
You can listen to it on windows media player. I don't think I ever heard this Raposo song before. It's pretty amusing. :) You can also hear other Raposo...
