Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I think he means that Rizzo and Pepe kind of replaced Rowlf and Scooter, at least among the main six (since Rizzo was around long before the deaths of Henson and Oz, and Pepe was introduced several years later), and now Rowlf and Scooter are major characters again, while Rizzo and Pepe were...
So is The New Super Mario Bros. U out of print? It seems like I never see a new copy in stores. I bought a used copy, and don't mind that it's used (and I could have downloaded a copy), but regardless, I've noticed that whenever I'm looking at the WiiU section of a store, it is odd that I never...
I'm glad to see that Here Comes the Puppets is online. Previously, footage of the Muppets (as well as a few other puppet acts) from that festival were on YouTube, without the whole special, but I think that's been taken down. And I wonder if they did multiple performances. I haven't actually...
Thinking about The New Super Luigi U, which is an expansion pack for The New Super Mario Bros. U, I wonder if it'd be cool if there were a Muppet game that could also use special "expansion packs" to include other characters and levels. Like the main game could include a few major characters as...
Oh, so you must have the Sesame Street release Let's Play School then, right? That's the only one (not counting Disney Cartoon Arcade, for obvious reasons) to not have a page on Muppet Wiki.
Until now I thought the thread title was just "Should Walter be a main character" (I guess it comes from clicking on the thread from the main forum page, where the title is cut off), as opposed to asking if he should be a main character in place of Rowlf and Scooter.
In that case, no. He...
Last night I had a dream where there was a new Muppet movie, and one scene had Digit. It was a group scene, I can't remember who else was there but I'm sure it was mostly just main characters, and Digit was there, with lines and everything.
I don't think there's any rumors about this toy line yet.
The only info I thought could be included but was unsure are the ones about intended size and the fact that they don't want the line to be a continuation/compatible to the Palisades line.
What other toy lines do this?
I think somebody once suggested something like this to Ken at Palisades as a way to get Sweetums released, and he didn't like that idea. Of course that doesn't mean that the Diamond people won't think differently.
I just realized that while it's said that they...
I enjoyed seeing Muppet Madness. So glad you had that. It's a little more enjoyable than You're the Director. Actually, both those InteractiVision releases are a lot more enjoyable than the Play-Along Videos.
I also enjoyed some of the Jim Henson Hour promos. All of the episodes used to be on...
I'll be surprised if they release any of the other full body monsters in the 7 inch line. Heck, I'd even be surprised if they put out a Sweetums this year or next. I'd expect Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, Scooter, Rowlf, Bunsen, Beaker, Statler, Waldorf, The Swedish Chef, and maybe Rizzo, Pepe...
Yes. And yet for some reason, although he'd been done with performing, he continued later on to have major roles on Eureeka's Castle and Dog City, while also performing in the occasional production (in fact he returned to the role of Barkley for Big Bird in Japan, even though the character had...
I looked at The Best of Elmo 3 in the store, and saw that the back cover actually pictures celebrities who appear. I think this is the first time since Warner Home Video got the license that celebrities appeared on the packaging.
I wonder if Sam and Friends would be allowed. Craig Shemin said in his Tough Pigs interview that Disney owns the characters but for some reason still needs Henson's permission to use them.
I wonder if that will be an issue. Sony owns the films, but Disney owns the characters (including...
Well, The Best of Elmo 3 is out. The Muppet Mindset did a review: https://muppetmindset.wordpress.com/2015/03/03/review-the-best-of-elmo-3/
As expected, this one does not have any of Elmo's appearances from the 1980s. It's not really said in the review, but I asked on Facebook and was told that...
