Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Is there even the slightest possibility of Frank Oz being involved? I heard that he didn't like the last movie because it wasn't as hard-edged or witty as the original Muppet movies. Here's hoping that he has a cameo of some sort.
Have there been any recent details regarding the plot of the new...
Yes, Robin is very easy to draw. Plus, he's one of the most adorable, yet underrated, Muppets ever.
OK, I will take that into consideration...I have never tried drawing Walter, but it shouldn't be too hard. He looks like a very basic Whatnot, almost like the guys on "Sam and Friends."
iTunes released a handful of episodes from seasons 1, 10, 15, 20, & 25. Hopefully they can get episodes from Seasons 2-4, and 6-9. Maybe we'll see Herbert Birdsfoot, Roosevelt Franklin, Don Music, Mr. Hooper and Olivia again...That's what I look forward to most.
Hello there! May I call you Bill, for short?
I personally would not have put in the Newsman. It is not easy for me to draw him. Nor is it easy for me to draw Gonzo, Miss Piggy, Link, Dr. Strangepork, Sam the Eagle, or the Muppet Monsters. My personal favorites are Kermit, Fozzie, Lew, Bunsen...
Here's what I like about both of them:
I tip my hat to Steve Whitmire because he had the huge responsibility of taking over after Jim. Steve's singing voice is outstanding, and his Kermit sounds much cheerier. He really does the voice acting well, too. Jim didn't have to alter his voice much...

I finally got it uploaded! Sorry to keep you waiting, Vincent. Here's a picture (from three years ago) of the Muppets!
(Janice's voice) Like, hello! Welcome to the forum. You'll rully like it here, fer sure.
If I'm not mistaken, the Twiggy episode also featured UNCLE DEADLY!!! (a cult favorite amongst us diehard Muppet fans) hehehe...I agree, that was a GREAT Muppet Show episode. Glad to have you here!
This was very funny! Best part was Frank Oz's "WHAT?!"
I loved the "taking a bow" banter, the "pork, beans, & laundry" remarks, and how Frank phrased the main concept of puppeteering: "The voice is only 10 percent of it, the rest is 90 percent." Also: Frank's eyes seemed to be narrowing as...
Just watched the video that was posted in this thread...it was all right. More cons than pros for me.
First, I really think that the Muppets' vocals were prerecorded. Kermit's intro in the Rockefeller show is exactly the same as the one in the music video. If Steve were speaking live, he...
has Lew Zealand had any lines recently? I don't recall if he spoke in the latest movie, but Matt has done a really great job as Floyd Pepper and Uncle Deadly...and his Pops voice is SPECTACULAR!!! I wish there were more Jerry Nelson characters with speaking roles in Cee Lo's video, such as...
I have also stole---er, borrowed the list that was made. Here are my thoughts (classic Muppets only, I'm most familiar with them...Pepe is the only exception in this list).
40-43 Kermit
38-46 Miss Piggy
39 Fozzie
30 Gonzo
17-20 Scooter
48 Rowlf
5 Robin
29 Pepe
25 Rizzo
23 Camilla
52 Swedish...
I agree. If these self-proclaimed "Muppet fans" don't know who Rowlf is, their Muppet knowledge has officially gone to the dogs! (Fozzie's voice) AaaaAAAhhHH!!!!
Something I noticed about GMC:
During the "Happiness Hotel" song, Janice's right arm is actually moving when she plays the guitar. Not like before, when just the left hand "strums" the guitar, as is the case for most Muppets.
Also...are Lips' FINGERS moving, too? Or do I need new glasses?
How...
Haha, yes I wish I could "mightily raise" my hands and make Kermit, Miss Piggy & Co. magically appear by my side...complete with a puff of smoke, too.
And how did you make those Muppet Christmas Carol smilies?!
Pros:
I'm not familiar with Big Mean Carl, but it was really funny seeing him trying to eat Cee Lo's head. Also, it was nice seeing Rowlf, Lew Zealand, Scooter, and other characters that haven't been used as extensively as Gonzo, Animal, and Pepe. If I'm not mistaken, I saw Quongo the Gorilla...
