I know, but someone on Tough Pigs charted all the times it was performed and Jim Henson only performed it like 7 times, Steve didn't perform it at all in the first decade he was Kermit, and Matt has done it at least once every 7 weeks on average, maybe more by now. Its getting a little...
It's always nice to see Kermit or any Muppet make an appearance, but why is it ALWAYS Rainbow Connection?
Perhaps with a new performer still being introduced to the public Disney is making sure to push the nostalgia button extra hard until everyone just accepts the change.
Question. If the Muppets were popular again, but only as CGI characters on a similar (though higher quality) level as the new Muppet Babies, would you guys be ok with that?
I really dont know if i would be ok with that.
As for Disney keeping its charactrrs alive, not really. Mickey and...
My understanding is that Sesame Street characters fall into 3 categories. You have those that are literal children like Elmo, Big Bird, Zoey, etc. You have those that are adults like Oscar, The Count, and Kermit. They live on their own, hold jobs, and understand that world as an adult would...
Horatio is safe for two reasons. One, no one knows who that is. Go up to any almost anyone and ask them to name 50 Sesame Street characters. I bet Horatio the elephant never comes up.
Two, gay stereotyoes that you can laugh at is just fine by anti-gay groups. But Bert and Ernie are just...
In a way that goes along with the original point i made. The Muppets can only do safe stuff now. They cant rock the boat or express an ideology. They cant do a thought provoking musical piece about war using woodland creatures or weird aliens anymore.
Personally, i would like to see Sam...
So, I've been watching old Muppet stuff, pre-2000's, and realized just how much stuff we will never see The Muppets do again due to it not being PC that I wanted to list here. Please feel free to list the things you think we will never see The Muppets do again and post clips if you got them...
This got off track real fast.
Personally, i am sad to see that Muppet Central lacks updates on its main site. This is the site where I learned about the Palisades line that in many ways changed my life. Now there is almost nothing new on the main site, even though things have happened. No...
I just want them to work. I don't really use my computer as much. It acts more like my entertainment center.
I would think he should be happy if others offered to take over certain duties for free, even if he still paid for the domain. It's just sad that there is no new news being posted at...
Do you think if we all took a vote that Philip would turn over the current forums to you guys?
It would be nice to ditch the flash menus and have something I can actually see on my phone and tablet. I mean they look great when they load on my computer, but flash is dead.
This is my thinking. in a chat it seems easy to loose track of things. I haven't been a chat room person since i was a teenager. Now, I don't even like apps like "groupme" that my old job tried to get us to use for work chats. It tends to turn into a contest of who can post the most crap.
That's what I am saying! I'm old ad scared of new things!
Seriously though, from what I see t's a chat room with a single topic called "muppet stuff". If there are sub topics I do not see them, other than the Muppet facts and other areas I can not post in.
I get that, but I like having this format. Basically, I want this format with more active staff and popularity. A chat where it's just one big discussion about any topic doesn't appeal to me.
I don't get why a chat would be better than a message board though. It's just a stream of consciousness without the ability to create individual threads for separate conversations.
