OH WOWWOWWOWWOW!!!! This is Amazing news for Muppet fans! Louise Gold is back, for real! It will be great to see her reunited with Dave Goelz :concern:  :oops: and Steve Whitmire :):shifty::eek::boo: after 25+ years. I wonder if she'll be the only female Muppet performer in the...
That was my first time watching the Numberella sketch! Great one, and a brief yet funny performance from Jerry Nelson as the Count.
Regarding the Lynda Carter episode, I think that ALL of the Muppets' costumes in that episode of TMS are wacky. Fozzie, Scooter, Lew Zealand, Gonzo, and Link...
How about this one? Love this one so much.
"My Way" is an honorable mention as well (from the episode when Gonzo has to leave the theater for his upcoming movie contract in Bombay).
It was the Sylvester Stallone episode, where the Muppet comedian, named Professor Albert Flan, introduces Otto the Automatic Entertainer. When Fozzie can't find a lady for his "sawing a lady in half" trick, he is forced to use Otto (who dons a blonde wig just for the act). Unfortunately, Fozzie...
Thanks...I never thought that my 300th post would be about a tattered, discolored, nightmare-inducing Floyd Pepper doll...but hey, at MC the unexpected is expected.
That picture of so-called Floyd belongs in THIS thread:
http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/get-ready-for-some-muppet-nightmare-fuel.52091/page-11#post-1016932
(BTW, 300th post! :) :) :) )
Now that I think about it, I love everything about Floyd. He's very talented, witty, and is not afraid to speak his mind...even if he's at risk of getting whacked by "Miss Fatback." Other moments that stand out:
"We are, am, is and be they whom as are known as: the Electric Mayhem!" (TMM)
"I was...
Scooter wasn't my favorite at first because he always seemed to be nagging Kermit in a subversive way ("My uncle who owns this theater loves this act"). But I've warmed up to later versions of him, season 3-onward. And David's doing a pretty good job with Scooter, not to mention Janice.
Link is indeed underappreciated, since he was never a star like Kermit or Fozzie. I hope he has a greater role in the upcoming movie. Maybe the Muppets will film a new Pigs in Space segment for the movie: I could see Eric Jacobson as First Mate Piggy, Steve Whitmire as Link Hogthrob, and...
I like the backstage scenes in the Raquel Welch episode, when Fozzie tries to be more assertive, but fails. Floyd's sarcasm really shines through:
:o: I am an established ARTISTE!!! I will not be treated like a newcomer.
:sing:: No, you gonna be treated like a LATECOMER!!!! (laughs)
:o: You...
I'm not saying they are a funky band. I think they're more of an '80s pop-rock band. What I'm saying is that there are a lot of funky aspects of the song "Rosanna."
:wisdom:: The alphabet is not a word!
:insatiable:: Also eats telephones, letters, and bicycles.
:super:: Exhausts himself after "Near and far."
:grouchy:: Won't play with you. Now scram!
:p: Has a banana in his ear.
:(: Plays checkers against his pet pigeon.
:batty:: Will count anything in...
Anything by Toto. Especially "Rosanna." I can't get enough of that groovy shuffle beat, the funky bass, expressive keyboards, fiery guitar, & the tight harmonies. They're just my favorite band right now.
Yes, they have been going steady for 35 years (in real time). In the Muppets' universe, well no one knows how long it's been.
Here's one of the best examples of their relationship. Watch for the kiss at the end. :)
Don't worry, nobody owns the fifth season because it STILL has not been released (GRRRRR!). But you can watch episodes on Youtube. Just search "muppet show season 5" or something like that.
Yay Rowlf! I have a feeling he'll take good care of Slip. Maybe you could put in a scene when she hears Rowlf playing the piano and it's her favorite song. Then she gets to play it for him and he helps her get better as a musician. This is very good so far, but it would be nice to see more...
Yep, I forgot that he was still active as a puppeteer in the early 2000s, when MC was created. It's great to see that he did other miscellaneous characters at the time before his health problems forced him to do only voice work.
One story/quote each.
:): Show hanging by thread, saves it.
: Hits frog, but still loves him.
:o: Always full of hope. Wocka wocka!
;): His uncle owns the Muppet Theater.
:concern:: YOKELS!!! They just don't know art.
:sympathy:: Dr. Bob is his alter ego.
:halo:: DRUMS! FOOD! WOMEN...
