Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
*laughing* He has a natural propensity to come back...usually when he's least needed. *kidding* I really am looking forward to a possible return of Rowlf, but I must admit that I've become so used to the EM being background characters that I'd find it weird if they started hanging with the main...
My thoughts about the Muppetverse are kinda Greg the Bunny-like, I suppose, although I've never seen it myself. Where, the Muppets as a race have always had prejudice against them, and where until Sam and Friends and then Sesame Street took off, they were almost utterly unseen by the human eye...
I love this idea of a thread, and your inclusion of the Dinasaurs certainly provides much food for thought! You do seem well versed in all the different Muppet universes! I love this thread, and your theories.
True...I probably didn't think that through so well, R. Piggy...There does tend to be a lot of bullying within fanfic groupings. Still, I'd love to argue it out sometime...Which I suppose is what we're doing here!
See, the thing with Cantus is...He gets to say a line or two, and then melt away again. (not melt literally...) Mokey, she has to stay as a main character with the others, otherwise we'll have a problem with the movie and start complaining. To be fair, she probably would stay more quiet and...
Agreed. I never honestly thought they would make it either. After all, it's a very small movie about 5 friends in a hostile environment, it's not a massive movie about magical kingdoms.
However, if there is a second movie, I'd like that to involve the Gorgs in some way!
Also, can I say I am...
Haha! Oh, I know you did, hon! But I think literally everyone has their own complete history in their head, but not the patience to make it fit into a story.
I'd love one day for all the main MC fanfic writer's to join together, debate the whole situation out and write some kind of full-history of the Muppets. To battle out questions like, why does the Real-dog talk in KSY, and why does Piggy have a pet dog that doesn't speak :P
Hey Mr Dwayne, sir! Personally I really do still like the questions being posted within this thread, however maybe there can be a way to make them more clear for you to see? For example, suggest a new rule, that all questions for Jim be posted in Bold or italiclae'. Also, if you want us to do...
That's true...She has sung about being a little trashheap, and her mother giving *her* advice. I still like the idea that Fraggles may come to life through some kind of musical transformation.
Has anyone even seen a Fraggle parents or child? (I've not seen all the series, so I'm not sure) Maybe they grow, like sponges. Or maybe they are composed of hundreds and hundreds of magic-dust-like creatures composing together to form a fully grown creature, like those light-giving bugs in "The...
I never thought this would work, for a moment.
But it does! It sooooo does! It's a great break for the Muppets, into this new form, and it's totally fabulous! I am overly excited and cannot wait to get my own copy!
See, I figure that's why more people like Pepe than Clifford. Pepe was complimentary to the Muppets, and didn't take away from Kermit. Whereas, Clifford got thrown into Kermit's role.
I know my first comment was...not very conversational :P I'll try and come up with some better comments later!
I know this is the reaction you expected to get: "Never. Want. To. See. Digital. Muppets. Ever." So, so as not to let your expectation down..."I never ever want to ever see the Muppets animated ever ever ever."
Although, I would like to see a Pigs in Space CGI series, and/or a new Muppet Babies...
