Er...they've given 2nd place to one of your designs, but you're going to submit more than one for the place you've already won? Don't they accept a specific design that you've already submitted?
Thank you! I had to do a bit of thinking about how to handle this story. I wanted it to be unmistakably part of the cartoon series, as continuity-wise it would make no sense in the real Fraggle Rock, but I didn't want to go so far as to dumb everything down. I especially didn't want Gobo to...
Part 3: Duel Duet
**
When Wembley and Gobo got home Red and Mokey were waiting for them. Red said, "Have you two seen Boober today?"
"Oh boy, have we," Gobo said crossly, taking off his backpack.
"He's been acting...odd," Mokey told them.
"He's a pain in the neck!" Red exclaimed. "He tried...
Part 2: Muck and Goo
Boober ran into the Great Hall. Red was there, swimming as usual. Boober ran up to the edge of the pond and shouted, "Red Fraggle! I challenge you!"
Startled, she looked around. "Boober? Are you kidding me?"
"You heard me!"
She swam over. "You never even finished...
Yes, fanfic for the Fraggle Rock cartoon. Don't judge me.
Sidebottom, Boober's alter ego, was discussed in the bible for this series, but he was never used. For fun I drew him in the style of the cartoon... and by the end of the day an episode had written itself in my head. These things just...
Boo on it not winning. I won't speculate on contest politics; I'll just say that the one that won isn't the one I'd most like to buy. Ah well.
I definitely want this design, James. If not on a T-shirt, on a poster for my wall. In fact, I'd love a version I could color in. Hint hint!
Bah. 10 theaters in Georgia, and none of 'em is within bus range. But that doesn't matter much, because none of them will be showing anything Muppetty. But if I wanted to see Marmaduke, Yogi Bear, or Bee Movie I'd be in luck!
Yay Photoshop!
Beaker's eyes kinda weird me out; he's the only one not looking straight ahead. Walter looks pretty big. And what is the thing running diagonally between Statler and Waldorf? It almost looks like an arm.
:D I want to say that he'd be unlikely to find a pair of size 87, cleated stilettos, but in my time I've seen some pretty... memorable Franks. Hmm, would Ma and Pa be Riff Raff and Magenta then?
When Doc trapped Gobo in his workshop by nailing the hole shut, Boober was the ammunition that broke the board. So technically Boober went into Outer Space, although he sure didn't mean to.
Red went into another part of Outer Space in "Red's Blue Dragon."
"Hey, Janken... I've got something to say."
(Janken is carrying a head of lettuce instead of a bouquet so he'll be ready for the AP line "Eat your veggies!")
A few doodle dumps for those as likes that kinda thing...
Fraggle & Muppet Doodle Dump: Random gags, fanfic-based drawings, and a whole lotta practice drawing Scooter. Now when I draw him he ought to actually be recognizable as opposed to looking like an orange clam with glasses.
Fraggle Rocky...
No problem. During my Rocky Horror days, people used to make that mistake all the time after seeing me play Frank. When they heard my speaking voice, they'd exclaim "You're a woman?" Priceless! :excited:
Yep, that's what I was trying to say. I have a friend who comes down to visit me every year for Dragon*Con, and she is so allergic to peanuts that if she eats something that was made on a machine that had recently processed food that had peanuts--say, a Hershey bar that had been made on a...
