I wouldn't mind seeing Muppets on the shelves. When I go shopping I look for 'em but I don't find 'em. Whazzup widdat?
If that Kermit watch isn't made in real life someone will have dropped the ball big-time. I want one!
No worries. I live alone. I do pretty much everything but work by myself. I'm used to seeing movies solo. That said, I do hope that I can see this with a certain group of friends who used to go out for movies. We're all Muppet fans.
I just got back from the movie. I won't go on at such great length, but instead here are a few rambling thoughts...
THE MUPPETS ARE BACK, BABY! This was a great movie to bring back characters we have known and loved for years, even when they weren't in front of our faces constantly. It...
The viewing was a "me party," as nobody else from Muppet Central showed. Given the time and date, I'm not shocked. No worries; I enjoyed it, and judging from the laughter I heard from both adults and children, so did the rest of the audience.
Kermit is a fan of RHPS? As an over-20-year Frank, I find that both surprising and awesome.
I had a notion some time ago of writing about a RHPS screening at the Muppet theater, just for the cast to blow off steam and have fun. I tossed it because I decided that the Muppets were too clean for...
To sweeten the deal, I just checked with the Center for Puppetry Arts, and they will be open 'til 3:00.* After seeing the movie we could go to the museum and see some of the puppets in person!
*They always close the museum at 3:00. Heck if I know why.
Hi ho! I'm here! I'll be attending the matinee of The Muppets at the AMC Phipps, where tickets are $6.00. For this showing, that is. I'll be the skinny bespectacled broad all in denim, with a Muppet rainbow T-shirt. Very likely I'll be noodling around on a sketchbook in the theater lobby...
Yep. A Skeksis, Link, Dr. Strangepork, Jim, some Doozers, Sir Didymus, the two Labyrinth doors, a lot of Helping Hands from the Oubliette, Ernie, the La Choy Dragon, Vugsy Them and two police dogs, the Fraggles' "Nativity Puppets"...
Hey, cool. I'm an official host. Once again: Atlanta, Georgia. Wednesday the 23rd at the AMC Phipps Plaza 15 (diagonally across from Lenox Square), 10:45 matinee.Be there or be a rectangular thynge!
I'd love it if they could simply have Whitmire rerecord the line so it's absolutely clear that Wembley is saying "Gee, Gobo." That won't happen because that would be officially editing an episode that has been out there for decades, as opposed to one distributor taking it on themselves to bleep...
This exhibit at the Center for Puppetry Arts has been pushed back to 2013. That's what the curator told me when I was there last month. They have to build a new wing for it, and, as we all know, times is tough lately. The resurgence of the Muppets might just give them the push they need...
I have this image of her with curlers all over herself at night...
Yes, he is as irresistible as a black hole, which not coincidentally is also known for being incredibly dense.
Ruahnna, thanks, glad you like the pic! And you're welcome. BTW, every time I type your screenname I have to check the spelling.
beaker, check out Phraggle's Fraggle Rock gallery and you'll see some wonderful Fraggle artwork. He's almost perfectly on-model, yet the characters are lively and...
There were some pretty dang good MOTU McDonald's toys when the most recent series was being broadcast about 10 years ago. I will not eat McDonald's food, period, but I did go in there to buy some of the toys.
