The only non-Henson puppet show that really stuck with me was and is Eureeka's Castle.
We have the Eureeka's Castle Christmas special on a tape, right before MFC and EOJBC. And I, at least, was watched it two or three times every year, right up until my mom made us put all the Christmas tapes...
Well, he only shows up for a few seconds and has no lines.
In one of the wide shots of the Halloween Town gate going up, you can see a creature leaning out of the little shack off to the side. That's him.
I'll have to get back to The Count on how he differs from Adam's 'creature' form, though.
I kind of like the Tacky Technicolor Daleks (if only they didn't have those ugly humps).
So, without too much spoilering, anyone care to give their thoughts on the first half of the sixth series?
Like: The selection of characters.
Don't like: The fact that it's just a bunch of posers jumbled together.
Know that's been said, but I just wanted to express my displeasure. The posers worked for the teaser poster, but don't here. I hope the posters to come look better than these. :sigh:
Well, Tales of the Tinkerdee came first and no one was interested in picking it up, so Jim and Co. retooled to concept. Land of Tinkerdee was made to be more like other children's shows at the time (hence the human host and Rufus talking), but it still didn't sell.
So long as it's just Boober, I see no reason for shame. Far as I'm concerned, Rob Paulsen's take on Boober and the Trash Heap were the best part of TAS.
Oh! I've been meaing to ask. Has anyone here heard of Chameleon Circuit (the band, not the busted Tardis part)?
If not, (I have been dying to do this), here's a sample:
A severe thunderstorm, with the clouds thinning just enough towards the end for the sunset to turn everything orange. Pretty and terrifying at the same time! :concern::excited:
*Ahem* Don't call me Zepp! :grouchy:
Well, my favorite Classic Series Doctor is Tom Baker, who cemented his status with my favorite quote "HARRY SULLIVAN IS AN IMBECILE!" and Matt Smith is shaping up to be my favorite New Series Doctor.
Favorite companion would have to be Amy Pond, just...
Didn't think the TV movie is deserving of a five O 'so' before the bad. In fact, I actually like it.
It was a huge mess, but it was fun to watch and Paul McGann was a great Doctor. Though, I guess I'm a little biased, because it was one of the first things I saw related to Doctor Who.
I couldn't find another thread like this, so I figured I'd start one.
Are there any other Doctor Who fans here, or is the fact that there isn't one a sign that I'm alone on that front?
If so...um...standard questions, I guess? Favorite Doctor? Companion? Era? Quote? Serial/Episode...
