If it really is securing song rights than I suggest Disney to release like 5 episodes on a disc from S4 and S5 that don't need any securing rights and add some of their planned special features for the actual box set.
It's annoying and depressing that audience have been giving planes 2 a 66% from audiences and MMW only has 64%. Really? This film better bomb to teach Disney a lesson that they can't release whatever bogus film in theaters.
Well for whatever reason planes 2 got 50% which is more than 2x the first one, and even with a rotten rating it was still enough to be the highest rated film of the weekend with this review. "Although it's too flat and formulaic to measure up against the best family-friendly fare, Planes: Fire...
Here are boxofficemojo's weekend estimates.
Forecast (July 18-20)
1. Dawn/Apes - $33.4 million (-54%)
2. The Purge - $30 million
3. S:cool:x Tape - $24 million
4. Planes - $22 million
5. Transformers - $8 million (-51%)
Wait, how do you get it early? Maybe at Target their'll be a sequel bonus dvd to the 6-episode TMS disc except this time it'll be select episodes from season 4 and 5. Anyways, unfortunately due to the meh box office results from the film, I doubt we'll get more than the Blu-Ray stand-alone. I...
The Goldberges has had three muppet tv references.
-Dad tries to give son "the talk", one way he attempts is by using fraggle puppets of mokey and goober.
-Mom wants to give son "muppet show" lunchbox.
-Mom makes son Bert & Ernie birthday cake.
I totally forgot about "Ape"! That will easily take 1rst place with at least $30 million. So for my weekend forecast I predict...
1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes $38 million
2. Planes $15 million
3. S:cool:x Tape $10...
The film has 4 reviews and half are already rotten, it's obviously ready for like 20%, but it still has a chance at reaching #1 at the box office this weekend unless Jason Siegel's stripper movie gets some decent returns.
I know, ironically, TM, which is the most G of the theatrically released muppet films got a PG rating when the six films before it got G ratings. Obviously though, people should know that G and PG are hardly different films "age-group" wise as films like The Lego Movie or Madagascar 3 (PG-rated...
But, I mean I like it when muppet stuff is rated PG, because a lot of their work isn't G. It's also annoying that when people see a G film they throw it in the kiddie pile even when a movie like MTI or GMC are much more mature then the lorax or ice age 4.
Well, ya I can at least think of 2 episodes of season 2 (jaye p. morgan, and peter sellers) where there are bombs/explosions off the top of my head, but I don't remember any swearing and I just finished watching all of TMS s1 and s2.
Why is TMS season 2 rated PG? Hmm, I mean I think the muppet movies, almost all of them, should be rated PG for different reasons.
TMM - barfights, drinking, and guns
GMC - drinking, guns, "swear word"
MTM - Kermit gets run over by car
MCC - RATED G
MTI - drinking, fighting/peril
MFS -...
At the end of the day, at least we got something from Disney. Think about it, a decade ago all we had were those "Best of" DVDs for $22.95! Now we have 3 seasons on DVD, and if we want S4 or S5 we just search them up on YT. Though, I wonder if this would not be a problem if Jim were alive. I...
I've been thinking, isn't it ironic that the longest muppet movie in history, BY FAR, gets an "unnecessarily extended edition", but the majority of the other muppet films don't. I mean, ya, VMX and TM got deleted scenes, but only MWoO got an extended edition, but the film was only 87 minutes...
