Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Well...we did see Herry last season in the "Wing in a Sling" episode (with Jerry Nelson in a cameo, no less). At least we know they have the puppet to use if they wanted. Since Jerry still does the voice of the Count (and Fat Blue) while Matt Vogel puppeteers...it's possible they could do the...
I posted a question earlier in this thread that didn't get answered yet. Maybe you forgot to send it. Oh well, here it is again:
Mr. Lewis, being a writer of Muppet material yourself, maybe you could give your insights and opinions on two unpublished works.
The book "Street Gang" references...
Another vote for Weird Al here!
Your suggestion for the Angry Video Game Nerd is hilarious! (Can you picture him in Elmo's World?)
I also think that (even though they've appeared in the past), Muppeteers are always fun as celebrity cameos (cuz' they're celebrities to us!) Seeing Jerry Nelson...
Yes, it would. Simple as that. They have to compete with the dumbed-down kids' shows out there by copying them. If all kids shows for that age had the same quality as say, Mr. Rogers, it wouldn't be so bad. Instead, we have the horrible, purple abomination that will not die, the loud...
That bothered me, too. I was waiting for either Abby or Elmo to say "We need to find a bigger bird!" then our yellow feathered friend would bee seen through Elmo's binoculars.
But nope...we just got ten minutes more of Elmo with a tiny Bert cameo at the beginning and end of the clip. The...
ROFL!
Oh thanks a lot! Now I'm going to be laughing about that at work tonight.:p:D It's bad enough one of my co-workers had a cold and sneezes exactly like Mrs. Sparklenose.
Also, there was a classic faint when our favorite pigeon fancier saw the blue-bar pigeon. It was quick, because Elmo...
Today's episode!
You guys! You'll never believe it! Today's episode did something totally different! Y'know those guys they have in that claymation segment? They actually made a Muppet of one of them! (The yellow one with the pointy head). He sure was interested in seeing pigeons. He...
Anyone who gets a chance to work with the Muppets should at least take the time to get their names right! Come on.
It's just as annoying as that news clip from CBS with the whole Katy Perry thing. After the clip, one anchorman claims (promises us, in fact) that Miss Piggy wore outfits like...
I know! This is from the same people who don't want to use anything older because it might confuse kids to see an older Ernie and Bert sketch (with Jim and Frank) with a new one (with Steve and Eric).
SW Exec 1: "Yes, Ernie and Bert are wonderful and yes, Jim Henson was all well and good...
This segment (I think) was new. Let me help you out with what happened:
There's several shots of empty plastic bags blowing around in the wind. It takes place in NYC (or another large city).
So we see this guy picking them up and getting an idea from one bag that is being lifted by air...
Y'know...I'm surprised no one has mentioned these clips yet. They were made years before the Katy Perry sketch. While there is no cleavage, you can't deny they are somewhat suggestive in their own way. There's no Muppet character for the kids to be distracted by. It's as if Pepe the King...
Oh, the things I could tell you guys...I used to be a teacher, so I saw it from behind the scenes. I've also attended schools that (at best) had extremely twisted "values", see my post here. I could write a novel on what we're discussing, but I want to have a chance to collect my thoughts...
This is probably a dumb question, but were they going to continue with the "hidden gems" into this season?
I loved Super Grover! it was the best part of the episode!:super:
Also coming up there will be "Twin Day" with a cameo appearnace by Martin P. Robinson, his wife and their kids. It's...
Me too! Or Cookie or Bert or Ernie...any of the classic characters. It got annoying this past season when an Elmo-centered street story would end and right away was "Hi, I'm (celebrity)." "AND ELMO'S ELMO!" I felt like Han Solo when he said "Didn't we just leave this party?"
I've thought the...
I wonder...is it really the dress and what you can (and almost can) see, or is it because of Katy's past work and the original video this is parodied from that bothers people?
This thread reminds me of the whole issue with Snoop Dogg on IAVMMC. As I remember it, the cut scene was just him and...
For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, here's a report about the clip on the Today Show:
http://tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=597279>1=28103
If you want to see the clip, you better hurry up and download it before it's yanked off all the Youtube channels completely.
The reason I say that...
I see future work for a once-retired, anguished pianist who felt the same way. Just replace the piano with some potatoes...
"OH! I'll never get these baked potatoes to come out right! NEVER NEVER NEVER!" (the chef slams his head down, smashing the potatoes).
Kermit: (face crumples) "Now...
