I was looking at these guys on youtube the other day after this thread came up and I tell you...they'd take your soul in a moment. *shudder* They may be the single creepiest group I've ever known. (Of course I love them for it.)
Fair enough! I do get what you are saying, though, and if it's a choice between spending out on this or spending out on TMS4, I'd obviously recommend TMS4! I'm really suggesting this because it's available right here, right now.
I'm afraid I have to say that I dislike many of the new Puppets, because they all look far too 'new', rather than slightly worn and realistic suggesting that they had been around the block and truly lived. Now they all look a bit more fake, like celebrities who have had plastic surgery. I've...
Haha. The text-only option was a April Fools joke for sure, but I really wanted to see that rolled out onto all videos as an option rather than just a few!
Yeah, that would have added another great dimension. Kinda how after all the disastrous opening numbers, the characters hobbled past Kermit making bad puns.
By the way, I love your username, it seems so enthusiastic and optimistic!
Hey Jim, I have another question. Do you know (or could you ask him sometime?) what motivates Carl the Big Mean Bunny to eat bunnies? Hunger? Meanness? Addiction? Any thoughts would be appreciated. - Beau{Thinking too deeply about these things}regard
I agree! It's so confusing not having the video description to the side of the video, and also making it really difficult to see videos by the same user...instead just seeing videos that are related to the keywords used or something equally confusing.
Impressed I am not.
You certainly can, as long as you wipe your feet (which you have done) and don't have a 40-foot Dave G cardboard cutout hidden behind your back...which I cannot vouch for.
I think another problem is that Big Mean Carl has no redeeming qualities. I mean, he eats stuff...but does he ever feel guilty about it? Or does he ever get punished for it? Or does he even try NOT to eat stuff, but just can't help it and does it anyway? I wonder if people just can't identify...
The thing is, Dr T, I'm sure that if they released John Denver and the Muppets a Christmas Together you'd snap it up in a moment! But how was their appearing on his (heavily religious) show then any more valid or relevant than their appearing in the Disney Channel show now? The Muppets have...
Here's something to think about. Is this video 'art'? I believe it is. They should show it in a gallery somewhere. There is so much inspired depth and so many layers. You just gotta keep on peeling.
Love, love, love.
- Beau
I noticed that you didn't write the special, but Produced it. Were the writers mainly writing for the Disney stars, while you imputted thoughts and lines and ideas for the Muppets? I'm sure I noticed your signature on some of the lines! Which I loved, obviously. The Electric Mayhem were...
Dr T, Dr T! You should know that there is a lot of very funny, very awesome stuff on the dvd, although you are right, it does focus on the DC crowd. However, something that didn't shine in the original cut but does here and in the special features is that the DC crowd LOVE the Muppets and they...
