Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Yeah, but its always easiest to move a Puppets mouth and give it realistic expressions if you are also moving in similar patterns yourself, I've always found. (That's why no one sees behind the scenes at my puppet shows when I'm performing girl puppets dancing...aheh...)
That's so random...Not only that they'd pick such an obscure song, but that they would link it to such a poorly performed (with a very cool, but obviously fake Piggy puppet) on Youtube...WEIRD. (But good weird, Fozzie.)
Not only are they numbers, but they are singing and dancing numbers! Even Jason said he's full-on singing and dancing in this! (No "Wish I could be Santa Clause" here!)
According to TP today, Walter will not be voice by a celebrity, but rather by the awesome Puppeteer who we've seen lying under him! That (to me) is exactly as it SHOULD be.
I think maybe the reason that Muppet Babies is being kept off the radar at the moment is because it would add further confusion as to the target audience of the Muppets. We as fans know that the Muppets and the Muppet Babies are two very different things, but I think a release at this stage...
Something that used to happen a lot but just doesn't anymore was the Muppets (particularly Miss Piggy) appearing in top gossip magazines. I remember Piggy doing an amazing glossy photo-interview when she died her hair black for MWOO. I'd love to see them featured in some of the best/worst...
I actually like, "The return of the Muppets" but it sounds a little star-wars-ish. Maybe they could name the movie whatever they name the telefone?
"The Muppet Theatre Fund"
How about: "Finding The Muppets" or "The Search for the Muppets" or "The Great Muppet Discovery" or "What a Muppet!"
Sidenote: I have yet to meet one person in the UK whose eyes light up or who show any interest whatsoever when I announce that there is a new Muppet film coming.
Hey Mr C,
Well...if you're offering (ha!) I'd love to have all the Muppet Comics in paperback. I have the first three but need to catch up with all the rest soon. Other than that, I do still want to eventually finish my collection of sideshow busts (which I adore.)
