So Curious George never had a tail, huh? Okay, just wondered. It's been ages since I'd seen the books and (I thought) Nickelodeon had some animated Curious George shorts where he swung by his tail during the theme. I might be wrong though. Like I said it's been forever since I've seen the...
Hey,
Tonight on the Simpsons, there was a (possible) reference to the Muppephone. Nelson was auditioning to be Krusty the Clown's "Krusteteer" with an act.
Nelson had some of the class nerds (like Martin) tied in a row. He hit their backs, making them yell "Ow ow ow" in a song (no it...
What? LOL! They showed that? Good grief! On that same note (and getting back on track to the pledge topic), hard working folks pay their taxes, PBS gets a little bit of it. What we want to see is that money go to help great shows with likable characters and excellent quality. Mr. Rogers, Reading...
You know what I did this morning?
On my way to work to pick up a friend (I just started carpooling), I popped in the "It's Not Easy Being Green and Other Things to Consider" CD. I skipped ahead to where Kermit sings "Rainbow Connection" and rolled down the window. I saw kids going to school...
We remember...

Yeah, new cast members...
I was thinking about that a while ago. I haven't seen much new SS, so I might've seen Chris. Not sure. He's a teenager, right?
I hope he sticks around. I look at Miles and Gabi and I remember when they were on the show as babies. (Man, I feel old). I feel like...
Didn't mean to get off topic. Sorr-ee.:halo:
As for improvements over the course of the show, I would have to say I enjoy the constant additions of subjects added to the ever-growing curriculum. This was mentioned in the 20th Anniversary special with Bill Cosby.
Although concepts were...
Yeah, the "Elmo Gone Nuts" sign is there in the corner of the screen when Elmo sings about going for a walk on the moon. Also, since Elmo smiles a lot, they replaced Teddy Roosevelt (another well-known smiling personality) with Elmo on the Mt. Rushmore statue. Look for it.
And yeah...when I...
Elmo Centric...(rim shot).
Yeah, it does get the point across, and the composition and design of the bit obvously took a lot of time. The hard work really pays off, as so many elements look realistic, yet are set in imaginary context. I always liked that realistic hand moving the cloud, the...
Hey, I'm all for that as long as it's by plane.
(Walks into cargo hold and picks up a caged crate with the label MONSTER)
Me: "All out for Groom Lake, Nevada!"
Elmo: "Oh, yaaaaay! Elmo's plane is landing!"
Me: "The plane? No, the plane lands on Sesame Street." (pulls open door and...
(Sheepish shrug). Just showin' my support for Scooter, Floyd, Richard and Jerry. I just hope that MR notices this!
We all know that Richard and Jerry are awesome. These two have contributed so much to the magic of the Muppets.
Yeah...Beaker's nice...Pepe's hokay, and I have nothing against...
A couple questions for Travis
Hey Travis,
First of all, I have Kermit and Animal so far. They are amazing! It's just like having the real thing right in front of you. (Note to Muppet fans who haven't ordered them yet...go get 'em!)
Now for the questions:
Do our polls here at MC for...
Try this link. I've had good luck with this company. I don't know what glue you should use, although I did see a bottle of "Arlene's Tacky Glue" in a Muppet Workshop photo once. You can get it at Wal-Mart. hope this helps.

Pre-order link not working
Hey,
I can't get the pre-order link to work. Can one of the mods fix it please? I have got to get this book! I love Fraggle Rock, and if this book is as awesome as it sounds, the wait is gonna drive me batty!:batty:

Reminds me of a couple of lines from MFC:
Fozzie's Mom: "I recognize Fozzie's weirdo friends!"
:D : "Yeah, and we're proud of it, too! Ha ha!"
Convincing John
Right! Jim was really concerned about that back in 1968 and he had a heck of a time trying to get the Muppet Show off the ground later. Lucky for him it did, eh?

(Stands up and claps).
You hit the nail on the head there with that and I agree 100%. YES! I used to be a teacher and I saw this happen time and time again.
As for the Muppet Show being "based on Sesame Street", that's just bunk. There was only one character crossover (two if you count...
True...and yet...there's some irony here.
Not to open up the old "Elmo debate" here, but I believe it plays a factor on this topic.
We're here because we're fans of Jim Henson. We mention that to people and the general belief/train of thought from the general Joe on the street is summed up...
Jerry's just awesome. We all know that.:)
Awesome picture! Congrats! I can relate to your experience. I remember how excited I was one time when I got his autograph in the mail. (Sesame Street "remembering chimes")...totally unexpected, totally cool and completely unforgettable. Here's my...
