I still wonder if the following statement by Cookie Monster at the end of this clip was intentional reference of a famous commercial slogan from the time. I'm talking about "Taste great and less filling, too."

For those who say "oh it's a...
That's right! I forgot about that. There have been a few times where Eric has done one character and Frank has actually done the other. I think it was a clip with both Bert and Grover in it. It was one of those once-in-a-blue-moon times when Frank was on the set.
"Purple Elmo!" lol...
Well, here's a couple of non-Kevin Clash Elmo clips:

They might both be Jerry Nelson, but I'm not sure.
I know that there's more to the character, much more than just the voice. There's the movement, the...
I thought the reason that Gina didn't run Hooper's herself was because she was running the daycare (after Lillian left), then studied to be a vet after that.
Probably my least favorite of the human cast would be the short-lived character of Mike in 1990-1991...
Nope, not kidding. That school/town had a lot of things wrong with it. The only reason it doesn't so much anymore is because the old teachers eventually retired (or died). Same with the politicians/business owners. I'm so glad to be out of there. I have stories about that school/town that...
Well, I have no idea where she got her credentials, but she was also the Music teacher for the whole elementary school.
Keep in mind that this was the same town I used to live in where certain teachers got away with clobbering students. A lot of things were (still are) screwed up there.
I...
I never remember singing it in school, but I bet a lot of schools do because EVERYONE has seen (or at least heard of) "The Wizard of Oz".
We should have a thread about school music programs around here...(boy do I have some stories to tell!)
I often wondered why our school, like a lot of...
Of course, when you create a story, it's up to you whether or not the bad guy should or shouldn't redeem themselves. Depending on what story you're doing, it might or might not work.
Doc Hopper eventually hired an assassin to kill Kermit. The Skeksis were always cruel and evil. Nicky...
I wondered that myself. Kermit's head is basically a mitten with either Jim or Steve's hand inside doing the expressions.
Check out what I found. You can get them on Amazon or in an art supply store. Artists use these wooden hands to make sure they get the proportions right. Like you said...
Oh, I'm sure he did. At one point, Frank Oz made David Rudman stand on his head and puppeteer with his feet while Frank fed David cookies.
Frank: "You must feeeeel the chocolate chips inside you. You must sense the crumbs around you...between you, me, the monitors, the...
Grrr...I don't get that channel. Any chance of the whole thing being online soon? It sounded like a really good performance by Marty, Kevin and David.
Convincing John
I gotta agree about Pocahontas. Sorry, but it just didn't do it for me, plus I saw it on the big screen about 7 or 8 times. I had to. I was working at a drive-in movie theater the summer it came out. I was stuck in the ticket booth in this town way out in the sticks with little to no way to...
Crazy as it sounds, I've thought about that, too. Not the gun thing, but to bring along proof that I would be from the future...namely VHS and DVDs of post-Jim Muppet stuff. I have the People and Life Magazines that talk about Jim right after he died...heck even the memorial service footage...
And then they show those annoying infommercials. Who would voluntarily sit down and watch one of those things, especially when the product doesn't work if you do order it? I know, I know, they pay the channel X amount of dollars to show them. Good grief, though, QVC and HSN are infommercial...
Hey everyone!
With some luck, I found out that there's a chance I may get to visit the Sesame Street set pretty soon. It's still in the Kaufman-Astoria Studios, if I remember right.
I know some of you fans have been there and some of you are familiar with New York City. So I wanted to ask...
Ah, David Rudman! That's it. Now I remember that song.
As for Abby, she doesn't bother me all that much. It's kind of weird that her magic often backfires on the street (like Mumford's did), but in the Flying Fairy School segments, it's almost always Gonnigan or Blogg that mess things up...
Was it Dave in the "Mr. Between" sketch? Thought it was Joey for that one. I'll have to look that clip up. Haven't seen it in a while.
I thought sure Dave played him in the Elephant Elevator Operator song. He sounded so...Beauregard-ish.
Not to de-rail the thread, but it made me wonder...
And yet...so much of the time, I've seen so much Christian puppetry that's just terrible. Either they do terrible lip-synch, create either creepy puppets or ones that completely ignore the "Magic Triangle" to give them focus. I've seen so many puppets like that.
Then there are things like...
Hmm...didn't know Marty did that. I'll have to see if I can find those clips online.
As for the Murray Had a Little Lamb segments, I understand that it's great to have a Muppet show what happens in the real world and get in there and work with the kids. I just wonder if the same thing could be...
I'll have to go along with the other Baby Bear haters on this one. David Rudman's a great performer and all (we've seen it with Cookie), but just picture Elmer Fudd dressed as a bear babbling about porridge...
To be truthful, the character has been around since the early 90's. That's 20 years...
