It's a pattern with me that, when I'm having a rough time, my pictures become less humorous and either more warm & fuzzy or dark. The dark is for catharsis and the warm & fuzzy is for comfort. Well, here's a warm & fuzzy, if slashy.
Scooter & Janken's Night In: This was inspired by Pixar's...
Behold the pelvic gyrations of my victory boogie!
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who saw Seagal getting misty. I especially loved the shout-out to Henson and the other original Muppeteers.
Now they can finalize the DVD & Blu-Ray cases by adding a blurb about the "Best Song" award. :)
Hug Attack! I was never satisfied with Stealth Hug because the scale's all wonky and Wembley looks more like he's practicing a wrestling hold on Boober than going overboard with a big ol' hug. So I redrew it. Still not perfect, but better. This is an illo for chapter 5 of A Wandering Heart.
Doozer sticks are made out of radishes! The Doozers mine the radishes in the Gorgs' garden, grind them into powder, and make those crystalline-looking struts out of that. Hence their deliciousness to Fraggles.
Doozers have been known to play with the ingredients of the sticks to make them...
I never realized that. I thought they were just holding onto each other's tails; I never recognized that they were holding onto knots. Heh heh, learn something new every day!
Ya gotta wonder where he got those knives. I doubt Fraggles have invented metalworking, and even if Doozers have, I can't see them making knives for Fraggles. (Speaking of which, who made glasses for Morris and The Storyteller?)
It's fun to draw Wembley being cute. There's something so...
Radish Surprise! This started out with the notion of a radish on a butcher's block. The rest kind of ad-libbed itself during a late evening doodle session. Why are they presenting Boober with a radish as if it's such a huge surprise? Heck if I know. Maybe it's his birthday and they don't want to...
It's no secret that, in the right situations, I have a filthy sense of humor. Do you have any idea how much restraint I used, keeping the DeviantArt description G-rated?
Hee hee, glad you like it! Nah, I didn't intend to get dark with this; I got that out of my system for the time being with the Negaverse Scooter & Skeeter. After reading a certain *ahem* story I thought it would be more fun to get playful with it instead.
I watched it for the second time last night, and most of my first impressions were confirmed. I just didn't like that film much. I don't care to see Muppets shoehorned into other characters in a public domain story, playing second bananas to humans. The songs did nothing for me. I actively...
I like Gonzo's "Cool!" Something about the way he says that makes me smile.
And there's Fozzie's "Thank you, thank you, and thank you!" which I have been known to imitate after a deliberaately bad joke.
And of course, Sam the Eagle's "You are all weirdos."
Intimate Contact, Muppet Style: My half of an art trade with the very-patient newsmanfan, who wanted Gina and Newsie together. Of course, me being me, I had to get weird with it. So, here they are, sharing the kind of intimacy only possible between a human and a Muppet. Newsie may look like...
