Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Funny thing is, I have this medium sized Dexter figure from Trendmasters standing on a shelf, and when the new episodes were on, I was highly suspect of how the toy looked, but once the older episodes cycled back, the toy looked perfect.
I have to admit, at least I do like the streamlined look...
I think we can all agree on this. We should have known the show was in jeopardy when a first season DVD release announcement didn't come 3 or 4 episodes into the series like most shows do.
On the plus side, now those who hated the show won't whine about how the first season of The Muppets came...
So I saw Sausage Party on a bargain Tuesday showing. It's actually quite good if you're inclined to liking that sort of thing. I'd say it definately blows the other non-preexisting TV Show property animated R rated film (as in South Park, Aqua Teen, and Beavis and Butt-head) out of the water...
Or they just want to wait until it hits streaming so they can watch them on the toilet when they pinch one out. The thing that really bugs me is that, sure, for every massive flop piece of crap we had this year that anyone can whine about the lack of originality, they didn't exactly take to the...
The problem with Johnny Test as I see it is that it started out as a decent cartoon with some actual talent involved. I swear I saw Chris Savino's name on some first season episodes. Mike Kazaleah did some storyboards first season as well. Then WB decided they don't want to produce it...
If there's something I missed from the last Spongebob film is that it desperately needed a Nicktoons short of some kind before it.
Ren and Stimpy is unprecedented. It's a very important, maybe the most important Nicktoon, for better or worse (worse being that *&^% episode where they're some...
To be perfectly honest, I really don't wanna be a Geewunner type that gets offended by remakes like some people are (do I even need to mention the movie I'm referring to?), but... I mean, I can't even say Pete's Dragon is even anywhere near my favorite Disney movies, but....
Okay. Remember...
It depends on the media. From what I've seen, it's more of the case of overpaid loudmouths that claim to speak for morality being suspiciously adamant that there's nothing wrong, and everyone else is to blame for everything. I have yet to see anyone actually say "all cops are evil," but rather...
Still, in the cases where the police were in the right to use force to apprehend these criminals, they managed to be dishonest if not outright treacherous in their handling of the perps. That, to me, makes the whole thing worse. They didn't need to do anything to make themselves look like the...
That's the problem there exactly. If it wasn't for a bunch of lousy cops and in one case a lousy wanna be cop who defied orders of the actual cops, there wouldn't be this high level of distrust and chaos. Mistrust isn't going to blow over, even when the cops are within their rights to do so...
What we've both been saying for years. It's...strange. People seem to like the Muppets enough, but somehow only on T-shirts and Family Guy cutscenes, and Christmas special appearances. I mean, sure, I get the whole "this isn't exactly what I saw when I was a kid at my grandma's house on an...
I don't realize why you're so offended by that. It's not that I don't want anyone trying to reach out, I do appreciate that. Very much so.
I have too many problems to deal with and no one wants to give me any direct help. I cannot blame any of you, mind you. I'm referring to people much...
Taylor Swift, to put it bluntly, is freaking nuts. Her songs obsessively go into territory I can only say is aggressive aggressive (as opposed to passive aggressive). One of her songs stops dead to talk about how much her relationships were screwed up. Heck, the song you're referring to...
Meanwhile, Rescue Bots finally had a special episode that crosses over ever so slightly with Robots in Disguise as Bumblebee returns with his voice and references to the other show to match. Even references the fact he can't come up with a good catchphrase yet. Which pretty much confirms that...
I realize that what made my life horrible 20 friggin years ago is never going to go away and there's no way for me to deal with it.
I'm honestly sick of having to deal with anything, and I'm sure some of you have some nice little platitudes to try and cheer me up. Please keep them to yourselves.
Uh... medium much?
Let's not forget there are terrible works of puppetry and freaking terrible animated features that used traditional animation, like Troll in Central Park. A movie even the makers of hate.
In terms of an animated movie, they aren't looking to replace puppetry. Maybe big...
Karai took on the mantle of the Shredder (and was introduced, actually) in the actual TMNT comic story of the same name. While it was a good enough episode, I'm disappointed there wasn't more of a city actually at war, with the different crime families (especially the Foot) starting to fight...
If memory serves me, as this was one that if I didn't own I took out of the library an awful lot as a kid, Brain was actually introduced in the book Arthur goes to Camp. He had that huge collection of comics he carried with him in the original source material, and it did tie into the girls...
