Yay for Frog Scouts! (Not so sure about the diversity part, yet....)
Seriously need a translator for Beaker, Mulch and the mummy. Runs to Amazon.com to look for Guinea Pig to English dictionary, um, Compost to English dictionary and, er, hmmm. Are "translation" and "mummy" mutually exclusive...
(Kermit comes in the door of Apartment #5 and, hearing voices, comes straight to the kitchen.)
Kermit: Hello Ru, hi Fozzie. Um, what's that you're doing?
Ru: (flushed but grinning) I'm making sugared peanuts--come and try some!
Fozzie: (chewing) And I'm helping.
Kermit: (amused, to Fozzie)...
OMG--I laughed my, um--I laughed, okay? Like a MANIAC! Everywhere I looked, it just got better and better--Fozzie's head on Chewbaca's body, Beaker on C3PO, Honeydew on top of R2D2 (or would that be R2Honeydew?) And the whole Link/Luke thing and Strangepork's unnaturally large head...whew! I...
It CANNOT have been almost two weeks since I posted on this story--it just CAN'T. Sheesh--but here it comes, at last!
Chapter 87: Props
“Piggy!” Marty complained in a contrived, whiny voice. “Kermit’s being mean to me again!”[/FONT]
Piggy leaned in the doorway and smiled at him, a dazzling...
Woo-hoo! Let's hear it for some ush-gush! This was great!
I was just finishing the read on the LAST chapter when this posted, and didn't get to it until this morning, but OH! What a nice surprise!
I'm really liking Rhonda--she may be tough, but she's got a good heart and she can care about...
(Almost done--maybe one more little post after this!)
Chapter 11
With impeccable timing, Robin arrived at Kermit’s elbow just as the first guests were saying goodbye and once again displayed his good manners. He was gracious, funny and, to almost anyone but Kermit, seemed completely composed...
Chapter 10
The band was taking a break—an impromptu one. Animal was off his chain and chasing a group of squealing, giggling girls all through Piggy’s professionally tended flowers. She was remarkably sanguine about it.
“That’s why I hire a gardener instead of sweating,” she had said...
Okay--this is kindof a new thing. My DAUGHTER did this one. She's in primary school, but pretty artistic. She saw mine and thought, "I could do that...."
We're doing these in Microsoft Paint!
Okay--I'm watching Muppet Classic Theater (with the sound off) and I just don't understand what they DON'T UNDERSTAND! Every time Kermit looks at her he is just dopey with lovey-doviness. If they can SHOW that--even SOME of the time, why can't they GET that? Arghh!
We got to get some...
My standard answer to THAT is THIS: The reason Hollywood doesn't know how to write good stories about what happens after you get happily married is that nobody in Hollywood KNOWs what happens after you get happily married.
They're waiting for someone to try it and tell them what it's like....
I can't believe it's taken me this long to weigh in on this topic, but better late than stuck in a cannon with Gonzo!
When I was growing up with the muppets--yep, that's my REAL age there--the Kermit/Piggy romance was to SWOON over.
Were they hopelessly smitten?
Yep.
Were they professionally...
Chapter 9
“I understand this is called ‘committing dancicide,’” said Louise Kidd. Piggy gave a snort and shook her head.
“Were we this…undisciplined?” Piggy asked. This time, Billy snorted, and Louise smacked him in his bulging bicep.
“Not undisciplined,” said Louise...
Chapter 8
“Mr. The Frog, I can assure you that we will do everything in our power—“
Kermit held up one slim green hand. Not for nothing had he worked for years on Sesame Street with children and monsters, and he knew how to invoke the parental sign for “Stop talking now. I’ve heard enough.” He...
I SWEAR I'm going to fire my, um, editor. The sentence that says:
Piggy looked at them mildly, but her blue eyes were flashing, and one of the boys—a two-headed fellow with a pierced eyebrow—quickly took off his baseball cap in her presence.
SHOULD say:
Piggy looked at them mildly, but her...
Chapter 7
Amazingly, Keri was still upright when the introductions were completed. To their complete enchantment, Dr. Teeth had produced photos of the band and promised to sign them if a writing implement could be secured.
“We had a box of Sharpies,” he said sadly, “But Animal...
