Thanks. Mokey's his mama; Janken was born in the story Commonplace Miracles.
I doubt Jan would say "Not the mama." He grew up with three papas, a mother, an aunt, and a great-uncle. He's got quite a lot of parental figures!
Yep, my experience at Dragon*Con is that most everyone you'd want to get an autograph from or take a picture with will charge ya for it. I rarely buy 'em 'cause, well, it seems chintzy to me. Oh, they have a right to charge; I just have the right to decline to buy.
Lou Ferrigno was the first...
Hubert: Thanks! When I'm faces with that dilemma on Facebook, I just like something, unlike it, and then like it again.
charlietheowl: Imagine how proud he'll be when he finds out he actually is the papa!
Plaid, that's a lovely drawing. Really full of personality. Thanks for posting it here.
I've Fraggle-ized myself too, but the more I look at that pic the less I like it. I may just redo it, since it's honestly not that appealing a design.
I saw Wreck-it Ralph. My verdict: YES. Sweet mother of monkey milk, yes yes yes. The '80s video game nerd in me was having a great old time with all the gags and references. There were little kids in the audience who didn't know a thing about the games; they just loved the movie. It was...
After almost a year of being unable to download updates, and my being unable to convince it to start updating by going into the control panel and changing the settings, my computer has regained the ability to update itself. Bwuh? To make it weirder, for a while my computer was not wanting to...
Thanks. Yeah, Cantus may be gifted and motivated, but he does need someone with a different point of view to give him a bit of perspective and keep him grounded. At least until he finds his groove, and probably from time to time thereafter.
Beats me what Cantus is thinking. Perhaps it's "More edits? How much more of this gibberish do I have to memorize?" or "When are Murray and I going to start sounding like ourselves?"
I'll tell you a secret: for the earlier scenes I have another Fraggle playing the part of Cantus. It's the...
Cantus' Script: Um...I drew this after editing a chapter of The Minstrel's Path. It was in a flaky, punchy mood, and in suchlike circumstances I tend to draw odd things. So... Cantus, in between takes, reads his script. Gave 'im glasses 'cause I always imagined he was farsighted. He never...

Cantus and M'rray heard the rushing water before they saw it. It sounded huge and powerful, bigger than any underground river they had yet seen. When they...
I could not choose against Henson because he was Kermit. He originated the character, he performed him and defined the character we came to love.
I could not choose against Whitmire because he took up the huge, daunting task of following Jim's act, and stuck with it, and has kept improving to...
Gobo is scrambling up various proverbs in that song, and in this case crossed "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" and "a friend in need is a friend indeed."
I have MCT, and overall I wasn't impressed. It just didn't seem that funny to me, and I didn't care for the songs at all. It felt like they wanted to make a video with the Muppets, but they didn't have a story to tell, so they did the usual and plopped 'em into some public domain stories...
Fantasia all the way. I grew up in a household of symphonic musicians--mother plays flute & piccolo, father played oboe and English horn for the Atlanta Symphony--so I already had that kind of music in my life. And I love animation, so that movie, heh, hits all the right notes for me.
I'm not sure whether the pipe refused to play for Cantus, or whether Cantus lost his confidence and couldn't play. Either way, the result is the same. He couldn't go on until he corrected the damage he's done. He needed some humbling anyway.
By the way, I grew up in a household of...
