Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I just read an interview with Matt Groening from about a week ago where he said they had no plans to stop doing to show anytime in the foreseeable future. Did he change his mind already?
So who's this "newscorp" anyway? What do they own; what do they do?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was just from Muppet Magazine too. In fact, I think I have the issue that it appears in, but I can't check right now. Unless someone beats me to it, I'll post the issue number later.
By the way, there's a thread about guitar chords going on at rec.arts.henson+muppets that you might want to check out. Specifically, they were talking about "I'm Going To Go Back There Someday" chords.
Other than the promo for Sesame Street in which Kermit and Rowlf brainstormed as to what to call the new show, did Rowlf appear again?
I don't think it was the same character on Sesame who did the song Mahna Mahna. Wasn't it supposed to have been Bip Babodaiiaitooa(whatever)?
How about...
I'll buy it for you as a gift! :D
As for trying not to taint yourself with the new IGTGBTS, you can always program the track out when you put it in your CD player!
Hey Byron,
Aw now, how come? It's a great compilation featuring tracks never before released on CD and your buying it will support the Muppets! :D
Yeah, that is rather poopy, but you know what? If this album does well, maybe we'll be rewarded and get a volume 2! *hopefull*
Actually they're both...
Nah, no way it would be a 2-CD set. Muppet songs are all quite short.
This looks like a good compilation. I'm happy to see a few tracks on CD for the first time ever including LULLABY OF BIRDLAND, BEIN' GREEN, TENDERLY, WISHING SONG, WHAT NOW MY LOVE?, and all the MANHATTAN stuff.
