    Custom figures and dioramas

I actually sketched the Angel of Death while watching that episode. His wings would be ridiculously simple to make with folded paper. But, even if I do find some extra Beakers to customize, I have a couple of other plans for those first. Steppin' Out Swedish Chef was one of those things that...

Three "Steppin' Out" customs in slightly new versions: http://threads.rebelscum.com/imagepopup.php?imagename=http:%2F%2Fthreads.rebelscum.com%2Fphotogallery%2Fwatermark.php?file=121937&imagewidth=1024&imageheight=768 Swedish Chef is a hybrid of a regular Chef (head and repainted arms) on the...

"Good grief!" LOL, I love that skit. Actually, he's the beginning of a "Chew-wokka" custom, but I like him as a naked Fozzie too, so I may just leave him like he is. Plus, in the Crystal Gayle episode, you see him naked like this very briefly, when the prairie dogs steal his police...

Thanks for all the kind words, folks! I love the feedback. Okay, these new links are for pictures that are much larger, and I apologize, but that's a result of the computer I'm on today...

    Muppets on Location?

I think I read on a website (toughpigs maybe?) that it was one of the last things Richard Hunt did as Janice before he died. I haven't listened to it in a while, but I've got a DVD of it on order, so maybe in a couple of days, I'll watch the new copy and pay close attention. DN

What special was this quote in?

Okay, I have wracked my brain trying to remember what Muppet special or episode this scene occurred in, but I can't for the life of me recall. I do want to say it was with Henson as Kermit, but I could be wrong. (The line borders on the scandalous, which is why it's stuck in my mind, but...

    Sticky figure question

I have a very sticky white-shirt Lips figure (and his Java Muppets), so I sent an email to Ken Lilly. He said it's not the paint, it's a problem with the soft-goods plastic itself being unstable, due to a glitch at the factory on the amount of plasticizer in the mix. I tried Krylon sealant...

Question about "Lips" - paint still tacky

I tried some Krylon spray sealant, but it doesn't seem to have helped. I put them in the freezer now, got my fingers crossed. DEFINITELY don't get it under water, though. I first tried just PLAIN TAP WATER and part of the black paint ran. I had to touch it up before I sprayed the sealant. DN

Question about "Lips" - paint still tacky

Hey gang, Sorry if this has been covered before, but I just bought a Series 9 "Lips" figure for the first time, and when I opened him last night, I noticed that the paint on his poncho (and on the two Java Muppets) was still tacky after all these years. I had a Phil Van Neuter whose shoes...

    Custom figures and dioramas

Hi ho, I can't upload pics at the moment due to some computer problems, but I've used the time offline to complete several new customs, including: Kermit the Pig "Pearlie" Fozzie [from the UK skit "Wotcher (Knocked 'Em in the Old Kent Road)"] proto-Strangepork (brown hair and purple tux, from...

The Official Customizing MR Animal Thread

We definitely need some good comparison pics of this project... But it occurs to me that it sounds like you might have been better off to just build him from scratch! And I mean that in a very complimentary way. You know exactly how you want him to look, and it sounds like you have the...

Thanks everybody for the compliments. Keep checking back, I've got some even more ambitious things planned! Now, to some questions: No, I actually used Lew Zealand from the neck down. It's almost the exact same 'ringmaster' costume, and luckily their 'skin' tone kinda matches on the hands...

    Muppet Halloween costumes!

I looked at those the other day. I dislike how the costumes come with a cheaper half-mask version of the character. So, if you wanted a really good Kermit costume, you'd be out almost a hundred bucks for the costume and the better full-head mask. Makes me wonder how much green material and...

    Custom figures and dioramas

It's the top hat with the peg on the bottom, from the tuxedo Kermit figure. (I am SO glad they later went over to the magnetic hat system!) The recipe for this custom was one that I saw years ago, maybe on the old Palisades forums? I wish I could recall whose brainchild it was, to give...
