Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I didn't have to; Boober_Gorg's got them listed on his tape trading site. I don't bother to go over Unpaved Muppet clips since most of them are on his list. (But there are some exceptions, like the 123SS episodes.)
A lot of it is probably from his own Muppet collection. (And what a collection!) Some of the stuff is from SS Unpaved, others from PBS, TV shows, and specials. Some of his clips have even come from Boober_Gorg (like that great "Limbo: The Organized Mind" clip and Kenner Bird commercial).
Xerus got all of his Plaza Sesamo episodes from me and no, I didn't see it on any of my episodes. I think SSetta mentioned it was from a more recent episode.
The credits spell it as "Anya".
I don't know who the passerby is, and I'm not sure about the two people.
I'm glad that the Storyteller and JHH info is almost finished so we can move onto other characters. It feels like we've been doing this for a month!
I can see why you were wanting to keep Bamboo on the list, but I think Ringo should be removed since the dog (whether real or a puppet) was always supposed to be the character Pilgrim. It's like Foo-Foo; sometimes he (or she?) was a puppet, and sometimes he wasn't.
As for the "Superhero"...
It sounded like Bruce Lanoil was playing Pepe. And I'm pretty sure that Dave didn't perform Waldorf (who kept using his right arm, so the puppeteer might've been left-handed).
I'll do the best I can:
The Storyteller: The Heartless Giant
(NOTE: The clothing style is a bit like like medieval wear, and European clothes.)
The Queen--I can't remember. I think she had long black (or brown) hair
Prince Leo--a 12-year old boy with black page-boy haircut and long nose...
To help with the Count's list, were the penguins named "Papa Penguin", "Mama Penguin", and "Baby Penguin"?
And could you please describe what each of the Muppets looked like?
