Last year, Fred Garbo (who played Barkley during the mid-80s) was part of an acrobatic/clown group (wearing big, gigantic inflatable ball-like suits) and was interviewed by a local news group in Kentucky (which was a part of his tour), and was reminded by the anchor about being on Sesame Street...
The only "vintage" clip I saw from it was "Fruit Song" by Joe Raposo. ("What do you do with a fruit?")
P.S.: One of the best reasons I can give to buy the DVD is this: Cookie Monster has dreadlocks in one scene.

I've got it; it's a part of a video called "Five Sesame Street Stories", where Golden Books made a video version of some of their Sesame books. On this tape, four stories (the ones GelflingWaldo mentioned) are there, but there are only a few animated portions (sort of what "Reading Rainbow"...
