Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
That's an excellent point, and the loss of a generation with old titles is something I was aware of. Unfortunately I kept watching after the credit sequence and was just as disappointed with the graininess of the first dance number. I may have been remiss in singling out the credit sequence...
Every time I listen to "The North Pole Comedy Club" on the Muppets Red & Green album, I get the urge to put my Muppet figures and Rudolph figures together and film it.

Hey LamangoNumber2, remember when you suggested this YEARS ago? Way back in June of 2011?
Well, I liked that suggestion so much that I've been keeping an eye out for these ever since.
And I finally found a Tom Servo for a low Buy It Now price and snagged him off eBay a couple of weeks back...
I thought the picture quality on GMC was HORRIBLE. The blue sky was so grainy in the opening titles/hot-air balloon sequence that it gave me a headache.
Didn't watch the commentary track on MTI, that's another disappointment to hear they took out the clips but left the "we're backs!" I'd...
I never began sculpting a Sal. He's on my dream list if I ever get off my lazy butt and start finishing all those half-begun Muppet projects.
Thomasultimate said back in July he was thinking of making one. I wonder if he ever did?
The scale of the Muppet figures by Palisades is really...
So my friend and comedy partner Adam is moving away to Manhattan. Our last comedy show will be next month, and I'd really like to sing "Saying Goodbye" from MTM at that show. Anyone have sheet music or an mp3 of it as an instrumental? Adam is usually the musician for our songs, but I've...
Yeah, I did the same thing in regards to that spoiler video for the last episode. It's no easier to see it in context than it is to see it by itself, either.
Okay, continuing through the playlist for George & Mildred, first I spotted the bartender from the Star Wars cantina in one fourth...
When Jo backed Larry's car into the pond, I was rolling with laughter. Then, when the end result was that they had to come home early and interrupt the first (of only two) kiss between Robin and Chrissy, I think I was madder at Jo than Robin was at Larry!
Funnily enough, in real life, the...
I just *finally* bought these off eBay. We had hoped to make a trip to Disney World this year, so I'd been holding out for the opportunity to look the offerings over and get the ones with the best paint jobs.
But now that it looks like the trip won't be happening, I went ahead and indulged...
Glad you're enjoying these shows. I finished all of the Robin's Nest episodes, then went back and watched the Man About the House movie (which had been posted to YouTube just days after I'd looked for it in vain, to watch it in the proper sequence of MATH seasons) and now I've started on the...
Yeah, Man About the House was also really good. Some of the scripts were familiar, as they were remade for Three's Company, but a handful were unique to the UK. And some of the remakes were adapted, while some were used almost verbatim.
As for Robin's Nest, so far I'm up to the third season...
Ever seen a show called Robin's Nest? It was a spinoff of Man About the House, which was the British forerunner of Three's Company.
Anyway, I've been watching the episodes on YouTube, and just hit Series 2, Episode 5. In it, Robin Tripp (their version of Jack Tripper) and girfriend Vicky are...
You mean the shelf that Gaffer and/or the dressmaker's form sits on?
I'd try Super-glue or Krazy-glue. Apply a very thin coat to the edge of the break, and then hold the two parts together firmly while it dries.
Don't use too much glue, or it will have a harder time drying. An overabundance...
Good luck in your search. He's not a cheap figure to find, but that doesn't mean you have to pay the inflated prices.
I originally saw no appeal to the color scheme of the figure, but that was probably sour grapes since I hadn't been collecting the line when he was available.
Once I began...
The coat rack from the Backstage set is usually broken due to how brittle of a plastic they used. I highly recommend getting yourself a near-identical brass coatrack from the dollhouse section at your local Hobby Lobby. I think the company is called Mayberry Street, and they used to cost only...
For the most part, I use Super Sculpey, which is sort of like clay but can be made permanent via boiling it. Check out this other older thread, which has a bit more in-progress info... http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/custom-figures-and-dioramas.38562/
