Hi Count. :)
Yes, they had 2 shows where a rattlesnake was a guest. The first one was about the rattlesnake and the skunk. The rattlesnake was named Victor and he had a guy's hissing voice and he was yellow with purple linings on his mouth.
The second had another rattlesnake who was the...
I've had quite a few SS nightmares when I was a kid. One's where either the leopard chasing lion, the yakity yakity yak, the hungry red M, or the V is for vampire bat would jump out of my TV set and eat me. Whenever these (arch enemies) I called them came on my TV screen in real life, I'd end...
Thank you Deanmo for your info. It's hard to tell from Mak Wilson's and Mike Quinn's voices sometimes. Now I know. :) And I like how Mike Quinn got to sing neat songs on there like the Frog Song and the Turtle Song.
Oh, your welcome Count. I'm glad you had a good time. I'm going on vacation this week too, but I'll be back with more character summaries soon.
By the way, here are some more....
Hillary the Owl was a gray owl with a yellow beak and was voiced by Karen Prell.
Octavio the Octopus was...
From what I've seen in Fraggle Rock Behind the Scenes. In England, Doc was a lighthouse owner. In France, Doc was a chef and Sprocket was called Croquet. And in Germany, Doc was an inventor just like in the American version.
Does anyone remember the old episodes where Big Bird used to ride on a unicycle? I bet that must've been really tricky for Caroll trying to keep his balance while wearing that heavy Big Bird suit. And if he ends up falling, he could break that TV monitor in Big Bird's chest that allows Caroll...
Some of those alphabet limericks didn't have a poem or words. There was J for Jaguar where you saw a picture puzzle of a jaguar being formed while you heard jungle backgrounds and a big jaguar roar.
And V for Violin had a guy playing a wild tune on a violin while dancing his legs around like...
Hi Count. Hope you had a nice vacation. :)
I just got another batch of Animal Show descriptions for you and here they are.
Casey the Kangaroo was a brown kangaroo with a black mouth. And she had an Aussie accent and was voiced by Karen Prell.
Leapovich the Frog was a green frog with...
I remember that line the Princess used when she wanted to be the queen.
"I'd love to que the been!"
And her father goes, "If it were up to me, you can quee all the beans you want. Whatever that means."
Has anyone out there ever queed any beans? :)
I've been trying to figure out who was the person who did these cartoons....
The cartoon about a witch telling an A story about an ant and and archer.
The L story about a lion chasing a leopard.
And the cartoon about a boy coming home from a rainy day and imagining his house was a...
I remember my sister and I did this weird thing with Grover's near and far skit. We put a blanket over the TV screen and when Grover ran far away, he looked like a fuzzy blue dot. I had no idea why we kept doing it, but it always made us laugh.
Here are some more to add to your list.
D-Dog. (A suited man near a balloon where a dog is sitting in an easy chair and a man runs up and gives the dog is pipe and slippers. The dog pats the man and goes, "BOW WOW!")
E-Egg. (A farmer near a balloon with an egg in it. A cow ends up...
Howie Mandell left the show in the 3rd season and Frank Welker took over as Skeeter. And Dave Coulier started doing Animal and Bunsen. Dave also started doing Bean Bunny, Waldorf, and Statler when they started appearing regularly on the final season.
Hi again, The Count. :)
I watched the episode again and I don't think I heard a long O when they introduced her, and it sounded like /shar-let/ with a short E. That's all I can tell you.
Goodnight and enjoy your vacation. :)
Xerus.
I'm glad to help you out The Count. :) Yes, it is easier to send them in batches, so I can watch the shows a few at a time and study them better so I can get the descriptions and voices down better.
Actually, I don't know how the Penguin's name is really spelled. I guess it could be...
In 1994, it started out on FOX for the first two years. Then a year later, it started airing on the Animal Planet channel. But now it's gone. :( But I was lucky to tape them all before that happened. :)
