I know what you mean, JLG. Not meaning to go off-topic either, but I am also aware of TV stations cutting scenes from classic shows. We have a version of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" on Beta and there's a part cut right after the kids are catching snowflakes on their tongues. The scene that's cut...
*waves stupidly* HELLO! :)
I'm surprised no one has menitioned TMTM scene where Joan Rivers dolls up Miss Piggy with all that make-up. "And freckles! You need freckles to be cutesy! Cutesy, cutesy, cutesy, cutesy..." They were giggling like two school girls while my mom, sister, and I were...
Really? Flash is the only concern? Does that mean pictures without flash are permitted? Digitals can capture images without flash. I would LOVE to get photos at this museum. My memory is not that great!
Most recently, my dreams have been close to reality ones, with a hint of time traveling. Ever since I read someone got to meet Jim Henson at Walt Disney World on a bench, I had dreams about doing the same thing. I came from the future and found him sitting on the same bench. I proceed to tell...
Well, there was a couple of bizarre things on "Sesame Street" that kind of freaked me out. Like Limbo, The Organized Mind. Jim Henson provided the voice for a skit on The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson, but some creepy-sounding VA did the same character on "Sesame Street."
He also sang, "America the Beautiful" during the patriotic sequence. And I also wondered when Frank Oz sings for Miss Piggy (such as "Never Before, Never Again") if it puts a real strain on his vocal cords.
My first topic! Woooo! K, enough of that. It's been quite awhile since I've been able to watch any MB episodes, but thanks to YouTube, I got to watch two of them! Anyway, it's tough to remember how many of the songs sounded, though, I know that I love a lot of them! I've recently narrowed it...
One way to look up MB songs is by typing in some of the lyrics in Google and then, if you're lucky, there'll be a listing of sites with the complete song.
Not sure if these actors have been mentioned:
Tim Curry. They could have done a slight nod to RHPS, and with the Muppets, it'd be a real classic!
Billy Crystal. To boast her ego more, he could have told Piggy she rooks mawvolous!
All four of the Beatles, though it was after the band broke...
Hmm, the only soundtrack I have of TMM is on LP, so there's no way I can go run and listen to it. Looking it up online, that sentence falls closely to the end of the song:
Movin' right along, do I see signs of men?
Yeah, "welcome" on the same post that says "come back again."
Movin' right...
Sorry to be late on this too, but I agree with the majority of those who felt Carroll got a less well-deserved screen time at the Daytime Emmy's. The video clips with Jim Henson and Sesame Street were awesome to watch, but I was upset to see Carroll only stand up, wave to the cheering audience...
Oh, my gosh, D'Snowth, the way I read your first sentence, it started to sound like your mom was Sonia Manzano! Sorry, it's been a long day! :p But, anyway, I checked IMDb (my source for media info) and it read she was in a "Law and Order" episode called "Hands Free" which aired in 2004. So...
Even though trivia is considered useless, it's still fun to gain knowledge on the things you love! I go to IMDb almost everyday to read up on movies, TV shows, actors, etc., and the first thing I like to go to is the Trivia section. I read up on all sorts of 'did you know' stuff, and even add...
I had to rewatch the "Just One Person" scene over at YouTube and the tears came this time around. I saw "The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson" only once and didn't cry. Back then, I didn't like to show my emotions to anyone. Plus, I didn't want to believe that Jim's passing was really true. So...
A favorite moment? That's a tough one. Well, I know I really love when he sings "What a Wonderful World" to a puppy. The song itself makes me cry and seeing it that way only brings on the tears faster! Oh, and I also love when he and Fozzie are both playing on the piano. That's so classic.
With the size limit only at 64x64 pixels, I didn't want to pick something that would be too detailed or hard to see. The image I'm currently using is simple: it's of Leonardo from the first TMNT movie with Jim Henson.
