I'm not exactly an expert on this, but I was under the impression that the Sesame Workshop has always owned Sesame Street. Jim Henson just owned 50% of the character rights, until EM.TV sold that 50% share to Sesame Workshop.
Are American hotels different to British hotels? Don't you have entertainment areas, kitchens, dining areas, conference rooms, outdoor grounds, swimming pools, gyms or golf courses at your hotels? Then you've got the hundreds of different types of staff: cooks, cleaners, porters, managers...

They might not be talented, but they sure are popular. A format with guest stars might be the only way we get a regular Muppet show back on TV.
I'm not saying my idea is flawless, but it's not a million miles away from The Muppet Show.

Can anyone explain why the BBC didn't want to buy Sesame Street in the late 1960's?
I've heard that CTW wouldn't let them produce their own version, but as there have been different language versions elsewhere, I'm not sure how true it is.
