Andrea Martin has appeared quite a number of times on SS as her SCTV character, Edith Prickley.
One time, she adopted Barkley because she thought he was a homeless dog and it turns out Edith takes in many stray animals and loves to sing to them. Then the adults came to get back Barkley and...
This year, they had a new Count skit. The Count was watching a show on TV called 24. It showed an anything Muppet hanging from a cliff and The Count was at the edge of his seat as they counted to 24. Then it turned out the ground was just inches away from the guy so he was able to jump down...
I also remember Big Bird riding a unicycle in the early episodes. That has to be tricky for Carroll trying to keep his balance with that huge costume on.
I also remember in the Cosby Show episode where the Muppets guest starred, Cliff had to deliver a Koozbanian baby. But we never got to see the mother Koozbanian for it broke out and escaped.
GONZO: "The Koozbanian is resisting! Better put a muzzle on her second mouth!"
That painter was kind of a vandal. Painting things on people's property and even a bald man's head. And how about when the guy started chasing the painter? They're kind of setting a bad example for kids by running around the pool.
How about this one?
"What if a dog was blue and had feathers and two skinny legs and wings and a long feathery tail and a beak and tiny tiny ears?"
The transformed dog growls and then says, "I'd be a bird." Then a cat comes in and the bird dog barks and chases him away. "That chases...
Does anyone remember this story from the early 80's?
Maria wanted to go to Hooper's store, but there was a powerful windstorm out that causes her to get blown back. About 3 adults (Can't remember who) came to help push Maria to the store, but the wind was too strong for them. Then Big Bird...
I've learned that half hour British shows last more than 30 minutes. Which is why the Muppet Show is now starting to show scenes that were only shown in the UK.
I too am gonna miss Don Knotts. I loved his performances as Barney Fife and Mr. Furley. And how he did cartoon voices like himself in the Scooby Doo Movies and Johnny Bravo, a fish in the Incredible Mr. Limpett, a turtle in Cats Don't Dance, and a mayor turkey in Chicken Little.
RIP, Don...
I just came back from a trip to New York and I saw two musicals.
I finally got to see Avenue Q. At first I was shocked seeing the bad language and the adult situations the puppets were doing. But I learned to overlook it and enjoy the music, the storyline, and all the characters that were...
Also I've noticed that when they have another adult on the show, they don't show their faces either. Like when Nanny invited their neighbor Officer Caruthers over, they didn't show his face, just his lower body. Or Mr. Jenkins, the guy who came to take away one of the old chairs. Or a...
That Pigs in Space cartoon was originally part of the very short lived, Little Muppet Monsters series. I guess they decided to reuse that cartoon for a Muppet Babies episode.
I believe Junior said that line in the episode where Red stole Cantus's pipe and it dragged her to the Gorg's Garden. Junior saw Red and he grabbed his club and said, "Prepare to die, Fraggle!" At least that's how I remember it.
I believe that was a magic glove that allowed King Minus to touch things without making them disappear. For I saw another glove attached to his belt. I guess he forgot to put on that other glove when he tried to hug the princess.
