Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I do! :) I loved the songs, the cartoons, the jokes in the cornfield, the newsman, the weather girl and her talking weather man, Misty's Country Bedtime Stories, the four singing depressed guys, and the girls' jug band where Minnie ends with, "We're through playin' now!"
And I remember they...
I really loved the ET ride a lot. It was totally cosmic. :)
I also liked Nickelodeon Studios and the Hanna-Barbera ride. Does anyone know if the HB ride is still there?
The foods that the grocery boy had and ate were cookies, a pizza, and a watermelon slice.
Also, the Bridgekeeper series reminds me of another bridgekeeper from the Monty Python movie, The Holy Grail. If you answered his 3 questions right, he'd let you cross the bridge, but if you answered...
If the Muppets ever offered the chance to do your taxes for you. Which one would you choose?
I'd probably pick Bunsen because he's smart and probably knows the right calculations. But then again, the things he does gets Beaker in trouble. So I'm not sure about that.
Sam might be a good...
This sketch featured the same 4 monsters from the, We Are All Monsters, song. Green monster and Elmo were very near and Gray and Blue monsters were far. They start singing. Then Green and Elmo disappear and Gray and Blue slowly start to come near while singing. Then they disappear and Green...
XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS
This week's voice artist focus is Rob Paulsen. My all time favorite voice artist of today. He has voiced many characters I liked over the years like Yakko, Pinky, Ogden Ostrich, Carl Wheezer, Mark Chang, Exp. 625, and many more.
ADVENTURES OF JIMMY NEUTRON, BOY...
Even though I really loved the Sailor Moon series, I always felt bad how Serena seemed to suffer a lot through the series.
My favorite scouts are Sailor Mercury and Sailor Saturn.
I liked the one where there wasn't a guest star and the panel consisted of Gonzo, Sam, Kermit, Hilda, and Mildred. Where Gonzo kept driving Sam crazy and Mildred had her own warped view of man's role in the universe.
Not only that, later on in the 80's. Frank only came back to Sesame Street on certain times while focusing on his directing career. So he would probably have to give Big Bird to someone else if he had played him.
Actually, the cartoon was about the Letter S. And the story went like this.
"Six snakes spent Saturday on the sand.
For supper they served soup, salad, spaghetti with sauce, sandwiches, and sausages. Followed by sweets.
After the succulent supper, the six snakes slept snoring."
And it...
There were a lot of things I liked about the black and white cartoons. The way Popeye kept mumbling stuff to himself without moving his lips.
And the punches Popeye gave Bluto were very artistic. Like how one time Popeye punched the paint off of Bluto leaving him in only a black tracing...
Does anyone remember this story from the late 70's?
Big Bird walks by the Fix it Shop and he finds a brown wooden chair. But the chair only had 3 legs. Big Bird wondered how he could fix it. Then Simon Soundman comes along and offers Big Bird some tips. But Simon spoke in his usual sound...
I remember the ending. The flute player continued to pay. Then the 12 slowly moved to the front of the screen and the flute player slowly disappeared and got replaced with Indian paintings of cows and natives while the 12 continued to dance.
I also remember in the end of an episode, we see a live bunny in a cage chewing a carrot. We hear Captain Vegetable's voice saying, "You like crunchy vegetables too! Maybe one day you'll become a superhero like me. They can call you Captain Bunny Rabbit!"
I remember that skit. After that game, they asked CV what vegetable he wanted to eat, but CV wanted the milk, for he said a guy can't live on vegetables alone.
