This week we observe Memorial Day on the show, mostly by discussing Sesame Workshop's recent building onto their outreach program Talk, Listen, Connect. Along with hearing parts of the freely available resource videos hosted at sesameworkshop.org, we talk with Dr. Jeanette Betancourt, head of...
It would be great if we got "Frank on Frank" m_m, but I don't think he really talks about himself much (if he doesn't even listen to or watch his own stuff). I highly agree that Jerry Juhl and Jon Stone deserve more attention, and will surely get it in the future. I'd love to talk with Jerry...
...Dr. Jeanette Betancourt, Vice President of Outreach and Educational Practices for Sesame Workshop!
We'll be talking about SW's Talk, Listen, Connect program, and its recent addition of Deployments, Homecomings, Changes. I just talked with her, and it's a very interesting conversation. :p :(
Darn it to heck! I missed this. I wish I'd seen it, but then again I see enough chickens clucking watching the Muppet Show. Anyone have the YouTube link? Should I put the audio on the show this week (is it really worth it)?
That's a good question. Here's how I'll answer it: Frank has an open invitation to come on anytime he wants, but don't expect to hear from him again next week :o
How's that work?
That's a good thing in my mind, BG, lol. I didn't want this year's tribute to be such a "downer". Last year I more or less patterned the tribute after Jim's actual memorial service, since many people didn't really know about the service and certainly didn't get to attend it. Since that show...
Wow...thank you all for your feedback so far, it's been wonderful to read over these responses! I wanted to respond to a few specific questions and comments, too:
Count - I didn't think of "Turn the World Around" as being a DVD plug, but I can see where it might look like that. Actually, the...
I'm extremely proud to present The MuppetCast's 2008 tribute to Jim Henson. This year's tribute show, I think, has a distinctly different feel from last year's, but I hope you will find it equally fitting :)
I just wanted to again thank everyone who helped by sending in material for this...
Hey Dr. B! That Muppet Show clip is from Season 4, so sadly you won't be able to watch it on DVD yet. I forget which specific episode it is.
Jane really is a hoot, a grand lady. I think she even said, though, that Richard looked at almost everyone as his brother. That would certainly count...
A good day to reflect and remember on. But I think Jim would also want us to smile today, so at some point today go and find something silly to do that makes you laugh.
That's what I thought too, m_m. I think a Muppet movie that hearkens back to movies of old would almost have to include some Sesame characters. That's what the movieblog article said, and as we all know, MTV certainly wouldn't embellish or fail to check facts, hehe.
