That's the whole thing. The Beaker came with the complete pack, making it all (VC Beaker, that weird Final Fantasy plush, other membership stuff and *perhaps* the secret surprise) a total of 40 dollars. How should I have known one figure would cost 32 dollars for us?
Like Luke said, I think...
Ken,
I seriously think you should have told us about this earlier. I think spending 32 dollars on a collectable TOY (I repeat: TOY) is quite ridiculous and I wouldn't have joined if I knew about this. It's that I'm getting a VC Beaker and most possibly the special surprise for these 40...
I guess it's fair then...
One more question: what does "you can order 2 figures" mean? Does it mean you can order 2 of each figure that comes out, or does your membership allow you to only buy two figures in one year?
I hope Ken or any other Palisades member can give me more information on this...
I just received the email on how to order Fozzie. I was wondering: why is the shipping and handling for ONE figure for the international collectors so expensive?
Regular air mail for a regular figure cost...
BTW, another reason to buy the songbook is because of the photos. The first and last few pages have photos that belong with the songs. The TMS Theme one has a gigantic photo of a BIG bunch of Muppets in the theatre.
I'd choose Rowlf. I mean, we're both musicians, and I think we both appreciate a little time alone every once in a while. I wouldn't want a roomie who can't leave me alone...
Oh, and Byron - in The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson, Janice and Mokey are seen in the same sho-ot... :D
Anything with Don Music
On My Pond; Polliwog Ways; This Frog; A Song From Kermit; Frogs In The Glen
The Harmony Song - Kermit sits in the swamp and tries to read a book, but he gets interrupted by a bunch of people singing, a bunch of Twiddlebugs and two YipYips making noise. He teaches...
Try and look for the book "Favorite Songs From Jim Henson's Muppets". It's got songs from TMS, the Movies, SS, FR, and Muppet Babies, with sheet music for vocals, piano chords and guitar chords.
Some of the featured songs are:
Rainbow Connection
Movin' Right Along
Happiness Hotel...
It is indeed a good episode. Kermit steals the show with his "I Hate Award Shows", but chiming in every once in a while when something goes wrong. And the part where he wins Performer Of The Year instead of Piggy must have been one of the best Muppet Show moments ever. It's underestimated.
That special is great! (and silly me used to think it was NBC... shows how much I watch for channels).
It still hurts to see Frank cry over Jim Henson's death when asked about it. He's really missing him.
