Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
The sound didn't work for me. But it does look quite offensive. Not because it's Muppets, but because of the whole parody. I mean, if I knew I'd only have a few more years to live due to a bad blood transplant, I wouldn't want AIDS-versions of well known family show characters to rub it in with...
Luke,
What do ya, live in the Dark Ages or something? This is 2002! Penguins are SOOOO old. It's all about MUFFINS now!
:D
But you're right. They're cool.
No Dave Ebersole? Hmm... guess it's up to me. :D
#19 Vincent Price - House of Horror sketch & finale
#21 Twiggy - Phantom of the Muppet Show in the plot
#22 Ethel Merman - Broadway Medley (You're Just In Love)
#31 Edgar Bergen - sings in Consider Yourself
#36 Bernadette Peters - sings...
What's your favorite Muffin songs? My absolute favorite is:
THE MUFFIN CONNECTION
Why are there so many songs about Muffins
And what's on the other side
Muffins are visions, but only illusions
And Muffins have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I...
Auntie Em! Auntie Em! It's a Muffin!
(and: There's no Muffin like home)
Muffin is as Muffin does
Don't cry over spilt Muffins
Catch the tiger by its muffin
Muffin it again, Sam.
It's too bad, but it's the facts... We have hundreds of different people here and with every discussion there are people who feel left out because people don't agree with their statements. There's always people who don't know how to have a good discussion and therefore start throwing personal...
I called on a Saturday night and I noticed there weren't many requests then. Normally there are requests around the clock. I guess I was lucky with the time...
Also, our version of The Box plays different clips in each area. I had to dial my postal code before requesting the clip...
Weezer's in Holland, folks! I recently caught the end of the clip on MTV (right after I watched Muppet Classic Theatre, maaaaaan was I angry). It's also a clip choice on The Box channel, so this evening I decided to call them and give them the clip code. Maaaan was I happy to be able to tape it...
The funny thing is, I'm not even Vice-Emmy. I'm Vice-Jackie. Byron is Vice-Emmy. But since he does not always qualify for that job (he doesn't even shout "BBB!" unless someone tells him to), I occasionally do both. This gets a little hard especially when both Jackie and Emmy are gone...
STEVE MARTIN! I completely forgot about that scene! OMG, I thought he was the funniest actor in the Muppet Movie, as a waiter in shorts!
"YES?! CAN I HELP YOU?!!!"
"Ohhhh - May I?!"
"Would you like to smell the bottle cap?"
:D
Special, special... It's nothing, really. All you have to do is post a thread called "Jessie's Back!"
:D
And pretty soon you'll find out it's about Byron's culinary adventures instead.
Anyway welcome back aboard Jessie!
That's what they said about Muppets Tonight... And ever since, everything they did with the Muppets turned out to be "not what we wanted it to be." I really doubt that this new Muppet Show will be anything like the old one.
THE MUPPET MOVIE:
The Rainbow Connection
Kermit and Fozzie dancing
Movin' Right Along
Scenes with the band (in the church, and in the desert)
Piggy seeing Kermit for the first time
Kermit's two emotional moments (in the desert and with Doc Hopper)
THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER:
Happiness...
He did lose some of his ego indeed ("I do not really see myself as a star" - yeah right, with six movies and four TV series), and you could say he can be a little too nice (especially in interviews) but I think he has become a bit impatient too, less laid back. It seems like he's become a frog...
