Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I remember in the 80's, I saw a TV special where it showed Russi Taylor, Frank Welker, Laurie O'Brien, and Howie Mandell all in a recording studio doing work on the Muppet Babies. I was surprised when I saw that Baby Gonzo was voiced by a woman and that Skeeter was voiced by a guy.
Yes, Russi voiced Donald's nephews whenever she could. However, in Mickey Mouse Works and House of Mouse, the nephews were voiced by Tony Anselmo and were given back their Donald sounding voices so it would stay true to the classic Disney cartoons.
This is a horrible thing you and your family are going through, Beau. I know it can be scary and heartbreaking. I'll give you my prayers and hope God will make things right again.
In the Name of Jesus, AMEN!

Also, Tom's sons were great with voices on Histeria.

XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:
Today's V/A focus is that funny and educational show from WB, Histeria. A show with a crazy cast that teaches us about history with crazy comedy skits and neat original songs. It reminds me of the Electric Company and Schoolhouse Rock. The show was created by...
I just discovered this neat clip on Youtube. It's Robert Morse singing, I Believe in You, from a Tony telecast. He's a great singer. :)

Sometimes my parents buy cashews and I get to taste them. I also like hazelnuts, walnuts, peanuts, and pecans. My neighbor has her own pecan tree and she shares them with me and my friends. :)

Today's V/A focus is Robert Morse. He started out as a Broadway musical star and acted in some TV shows and movies. In the 70's, Robert did voices for some Rankin/Bass specials, including Jack Frost. And he did quite a few voices for cartoon companies like...
XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Also, I've heard if you do manage to get your work sold to a network. The executives might make you change it. Change your characters, give it a different title, change the whole storyline, and they edit so much that you don't recognize your work anymore. And then they'll say goodbye to you...
I remember hearing Jerry speak as Floyd for the last time in the Muppet Party Cruise video game. You hear his voice saying, "Kermit putting the winball in spinball!"
One idea I had was about a secret land where imaginary friends and fictional characters come to life. But then they came out with Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends so I had to cancel that idea.
Then I had an idea about a young guy who got frozen and wakes up in the very distant future, but...
Hearing Jerry Nelson's voice was part of my childhood from Sesame Street, to Muppet Show, and to Fraggle Rock. I could always recognize that voice of his even when he did one time characters. And I could still recognize his voice in later projects like the Good Morning America segments in...
