Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Just like to say, I love Blink 182. They're my favorite PUNK rock band. Nice to see a couple a Muppet-Rock connections in the last couple of months.
BTW, if anyone ever goes to MTV.com and sees the screenname "MuppetRock," that's me.
OK, that's enough.
Wow, this year was certainly a better year for the Muppets than last year. We finally who's buying (or planning to buy) Henson, or at least half of it, or at least 49.9% of it. Extremely ****** about the Creature Shop being sold separately (maybe Rivkin should buy them).
Excellent job, Luke...
You know, I've always sorta avoided the whole "Muppet fans pitching in money to buy JHC" 'cause it was sort getting old, but how about (though I am a Disney supporter) Phil and some senior MC members (or some guys he meets on the street) form an investment group and they collaborate with Charles...
1. Yeah, the joke sucked. But that's 'cause Pepe doesn't say "stifle" that much.
2. Regarding your signature. I don't pick my friend's nose 'cause I don't have one. I'm very secluded. That was depressing and sorta gross at the same time.
I would say that was my two cents, but I'm unemployed.
Yes, of course, definitely. I'm really looking forward to the new Muppet series (I'm watching one of my TMS videos right now) and the NBC movie showed me the Muppets still got what it takes (and even better, Pepe's bound to be a big part of the Muppet universe). Though I have to say I'd be MORE...
Man, all I REALLY want are the specials (and JHH segments) of 1990 and before. So I may record all of them and watch them over and over. My gosh, it would be glorious.
Sesame Street specials included.
Here's my thing, and of course I will not understand what I'm about to say. I love the Muppets and have a lot of admiration for Jim Henson and the work he did when he was alive. But I do care a lot about the "business" side of things, 'cause that in the end plays a big part in the way creative...
What, this whole time the Creature Shop has been separately for sell? Bull...
You know what? I don't care what company buys Henson, if you're selling the Muppets you darn well better sell the Creature Shop aka Jim Henson's Creature Shop with it. I mean it's bad enough the rights to the Sesame...
I have never really thought of the Muppets as "nostalgia," I'd rather have the pre-1990 shows than the post-1990 shows.
And I think another thing that needs to be considered (I don't even understand what I'm about to say) is what people mean when they want more, oh what's the right term...
Yeah, but at least all the crap the MUPPET company's been through provided good material for a 20-page research paper I wrote about Henson back in late spring. Although I don't think this joint venture being made of Henson is gonna help anything though.
...yeah.
Well, I don't know if it's official, but a Reuters article said a person familiar with the matter said EM.TV was separately trying to sell the Creature Shop.
Which would be a load of $#!+ (sorry). If you're selling Henson, Muppets AND Creature Shop better be included. Although, sorta...
