Yeah, I miss the days when Disney Channel was "The Disney Channel," but I mostly watch news and music videos today anyway.
I LOVE Kim Possible, though. One of the few bright spots. But IF Disney buys Henson, who knows?
I believe the deal is, for anyone, that EM.TV is separately shopping the Creature Shop. I'm not sure why. EM.TV has never even officially said they'e separately selling Jim Henson's Creature Shop. I've only heard about it in the articles since the Valentine deal started. Yet the Creature Shop...
Now, is it true that Disney's closing their animation division? I saw another thread around here saying something like that, but it was long so I didn't read it. :D
I wonder about a few things if Disney actually DID finally buy Henson (which I'm trying not to get my hopes up), would JHC...
As for my opinion, dig the archives and you'll know how I feel.
Still, sorta off topic, though I got REALLY excited when I read the article a few minutes ago, I still got VERY upset when I read the Creature Shop, the CREATURE SHOP, won't be part of any deal, whether it be Disney or anyone...
Yeah, I mean it was two years ago Thursday that EM.TV first announced it "may" sell Henson. We've gone Disney (who I've rooted for for years), Viacom, HIT, AOL-TW, Rivkin, Saban, Classic Media, Entertainment Rights (whoever the freak they are), Senor Valentine, and back to Disney again.
Those...
LOL. I say that because the guys at EM.TV are such losers. I LAUGHED out loud when I read it. Though I'm concerned that, if remaining bidder Classic Media buys JHC, the Muppets will become nothing more than, yes, REAL nostalgia like other CM properties like Casper, Mr. Magoo, or Lamb Chop...
brief description
"The Muppets at Walt Disney World" was a special that aired on NBC's "Magical World of Disney" anthology series on May 6, 1990.
I'd kill (loose term) to see it, since I haven't seen it since it came on (The) Disney Channel in 1995 or 1996. Yet highlights I remember...
Looking at this thread--especially the first 4 pages--I have to say this is the, the, well, this has been one of those threads where you don't whether to laugh or get sick.
But this is Muppet Central Forum where I do both. :)
Maybe they meant February 2004.
I'd say stay tuned for the next week when the stock market is open again, if that makes any difference. That company doesn't like its own deadlines. :zany: Just wanted to use the penguin.
For the past couple of days I have been focusing on how weird a month February 2003 has been. Columbia explosion, nightclub fire, Iraq war boiling up, my new home, Michael Jackson coverage even, etc. And I was wondering wht weird or sad event might happen in the last few days of the month, for...
:boo: Hey, Waldorf, what'd you think of that post?
du-duh du-duh duh. Zoot!
 What?
:D Nothing, go back to sleep.
 Make the bad Raisin stop with the bad writing!
And scene.
Ladies and Gentleman: "BoyRaisin2's 277th Post"
:attitude: These smilies are gross, sick, and wrong!
 Crazy Harry play with technology!
#%#^&^%**!!!!!!!!!!!
 Unbelievable, okay.
:) We'll see you next time on The Muppet Central Forum!
Ahh, MCT. The first Muppet video I ever bought (during my "Does Disney own the Muppets?" period) which eventually led to the obsession I have with Henson today. Enjoyed it for a few years, so I'm sorta bored with it now. Still good memories now. :)
Though there's one thing I still don't get...
That's something that always perplexes about my love for the Muppets and how I critique their shows. The bulk of Henson's shows are FOR young children, yet I care that '80s SS is better than '90s SS, Bear and Fraggle Rock are cool yet (today anyway) I couldn't stand Animal Jam (the elephant's...
